Channel 4 have asked Mumsnet to find out what you think about their new series of One Born Every Minute (starting today, Monday 10th January at 9pm). We've recruited a special panel of volunteer viewers to add their comments to this thread. The panel are a mix of Mumsnetters, all of whom are parents, some pregnant, some not, some have seen the programme before, others haven't.

They would also love any other Mumsnetters - ie folks NOT in the panel - to add their comments here. Anyone who contributes to this thread will be entered into a prize draw where one winner, drawn at random, will win a £50 Amazon voucher.

We'll also be having a thread after the second programme, next Monday.

I am watching it with my 15 year old daughter, she is finding the pain levels a bit alarming!

Ad break already. So far the annoying family who are the only ones we've really met make me want to switch off. Come on, give me something to stay watching for!

Swaliswan I think so. I was trying to work it out too. It looks like the rooms I saw my midwife in which were up there.

the mws are really making me giggle, they are good

liking the way they're doing the bit with the two midwives on their own - iirc last series you got the voice over including them but not much of them commenting by themselves - again it has a nice reassuring feel!!

Hopefully Stephanie will get to stay up there and we get to see a nice active labour.

Love the running commentary from the two mw. Restores your faith in the NHS to hear them talking sense.

Why do these women not swear more. I swore an awful lot during my labour. I thought everyone did

I screamed lots too during DS's birth.

See, I get a sense of uninterest from this younger mw than with the older ones.
