Ive called, probably had the nicest call handler ive come across. Anyway my twins are still in the que waiting to be seen by a dm.She did say twins do tend to take a lot longer. She also said that it can take upto six weeks to be seen by a dm when its in this que. But its been waiting to be seen by a dm since the end of september. So im definitely not looking at this side of christmas unfortunately. She has put down for me to recieve a text when a decision is made. So not calling anymore unless i get some more information to send them.

Out of curiosity where are they up to with MR? My date is 27/6 so definitely thinking January now :(

I’m 20/06 and was told it was with a decision maker on Monday but I don’t believe them because I have always had inconsistent information whenever I have called.

might call out of curiosity because I’m betting they will say it’s not with anyone and is in the queue waiting to be looked at.

I’m guessing it will be a few weeks yet as the only awards I’m seeing people post are still May dates. Seen a few early Junes but nothing else.

I know with my new claim I was told it was with a DM and then the next time I rang up they said it wasn’t and even when it was with a DM it took a whole month to get a decision.

i think we are going to get declined again anyway so all in all I’m just not getting my hopes up in any way haha!

I will let you know if i hear anything but my MR is after yours and im still waiting on my NC and COC but if i find out anything il update on here.

How old is your little one? My twins have just turned three and my brother is telling me that its unlikely they will be awarded because of their age.

@Princessmom222no that’s not true there’s no age limit where they can’t be awarded they can be awarded at age 1 if they need it, my son was 3 when he was awarded middle rate care xx

GUESS WHAT?! I phoned up today and it’s ’not with a decision maker it’s in holding queue 3’ whatever that means!
I knew it it’s a good job I have learned to take everything they say with a pinch of salt 🤣

next week it’s a full year since I started this process. Six months for new claim and six months MR.

But she told me my claim had been declined and my heart sank and then she said oh no sorry I’m looking at your original claim. So it could be worse at least there is still hope yet ha!

Has anyone had to do a uc review while waiting for disability elements to be backdated? I feel they are doing it now so they can query payments and not pay the backpay?

Hello lovelies…im doing a new claim for my daughter and my brain has fogged on the national insurance part …do i put that number on her birth certificate on? I can’t find a child benefit number and cannot remember what I put there for my sons t.i.a….

anyone have coc close to sd 24/06? Haven’t called in a few weeks as I think it’s pointless at this point think im on week 23 x

I have twins and they was 4 in October I claimed for my son march 2023 and was awarded in the September but declined for mobility I put a coc in June for him and I also have his renewal forms which hopefully I won’t need to fill out…im not filling form out for nc for the girl twin as her needs are more now not hoping for a lot for her just something lol.

so don’t listen just stay positive people used to tell me my son is too young but it’s not about age its bout the care needs of the child and you know they are entitled you will get what you entitled too:)

Yes, i had one a couple of years ago and had one last week. Its nothing to worry about, it may benefit you as with us they rushed the backpayment through for my oldest and i got the backpay 3 days later.

I had one like 3 days ago they never asked for bank statements but just yes no questions to see if everything was correct on my claim I wrote to uc yesterday about being awarded no one has got back yet

I hope you dont have to fill out the forms for renewal and your coc gets done asap. I also wish you the best of luck on your daughters claim too, and i hope she gets awarded.

I get the same with mine, i feel like saying to them take them all for a week and then tell me they dont have extra care needs. Its so so hard isnt it. And i know for certain the twins should be HRC as theyre needs are so high. Thank you, youve made me feel so much better x
