Oh mines June the 16th I’m thinking m probably going to be waiting until the new year but then I see a couple of Junes been dealt with fingers crossed you hear soon x

I agree, the new workers should be clearing the backlog of MR and COC.
I rang today for the first time and she said they were advising 28 weeks but they’re now told to not mention a timescale at all.
I’m 24th June for MR, I was hoping before Christmas to hear our decision

I was hoping before Xmas too but I’m trying to be realistic because I was a total decline, and that could happen again. I’m going to tell myself January and just hope for the best.

I'm not even taking it as gospel that it’s actually with a case worker because I got told the original claim was with a decision maker and when I called up a few days later for an update they said it wasn’t even with one yet 🤣

also I had someone tell me in August that I would have a decision soon on MR. They don’t know what they’re talking about!

I feel the same, we were a total decline too so I think it’s unlikely but just holding onto a little bit of hope but I do think January is more likely than before Christmas. Fingers crossed for you

I think a lot of new claims from late last year and beginning of this year were a total decline our was too and but i didnt find out until june/july cant remember exact date.

How long has people been waiting for uc to back date the disability element once they have verified your child?

Im going in for a chat with UC tomorrow about this as carers has already sorted their side in less than 2 weeks my payments should start hitting my account from next week. I need to make sure UC is updated as carers gets taken off UC so gonna see if my back dated from UC cancels out my carers backpay.

I agree. I phoned today for mr update and he said they can’t give timescales. My mr date is 11/07 so going to be a while. He said ignore letters with time frames on :/

just a update I done a N.C for my daughter on the 28/08 and a decision was made yesterday @Princessmom222 maybe give them a call and see about yours as where similar dates.

Ooh thats good news. Was it good news, im bapping myself now haha. I have just had a phone call saying that twins have been accepted onto autism assessment waiting list. They have both just had a developmental test done yesterday and are at 12months. They also have to have genetic testing done as she said they have some traits of cerebal palsy and something else cant fully remember what she said.

Hi I rang up back up and used option 4 she has been awarded HRC and LRM am over the moon the lady on the phone was amazed I hadn’t put it in years ago as my daughter is 15 and been diagnosed since the age of 5 I never new anything about DLA never even heard of it to be honest but glad it’s all done fingers crossed your next xx

Wow as if you only just found out bless you, your daughter could have been getting the financial support years ago. But at least its done now and shes getting the support!!

Im dreading ringing tbh as the call handler put the phone down on me last friday. It made me feel so small, i have to ring them to make them aware of the twins developmental age and their acceptance onto the waiting list. Im also waiting to hear about provision to try and get them into a sen nursery too! Im just too scared to ring, as everytime i ring they just say not with a dm xx

Thank you so much I’m hoping so I sent it so much evidence to back it up I hate ringing myself I get anxious lol I did call today to follow up as there was one peice of the claim I forgot to sign they told me it’s fine theve had it for a couple of weeks told me it was in the dm queue than I received the qualify text early on x

Everytime i ring i just get told its in the que waiting to be picked up by a dm. Ive been waiting since august, i dont know if its because mine is a twin claim or what. I rang up at the beginning of november and he told me it should be with a dm in 2-3 weeks and that was 4 weeks ago haha so i just dont see mine being done this side of christmas x

aww I hope you get the award your twins deserve and I got told years ago but never thought nothing about it to be honest and left it until her sen teacher spoke to me I had a bit of a cry over how expensive travel cost and certain things was she spoke about it and couldn’t believe I hadn’t even tried to apply so much stress has been lifted.

As SEN parents we have a lot of extra stress and worries as it is and financial worry is just a killer. Im so glad you do not have to stress about it anymore. So happy for you! X

me to hun it’s lovely seeing people’s children getting the help and support they need, August what the hell it should have at least been seen by a dm that is shocking I did wait 7 month for a claim last year but there back log for nc was terrible then it may be because it’s a twin claim but for how fast there getting done at the min it should have Definatly been looked at by now I would give them a call tomorrow hun lady said it was in the dm queue than I got the text earlier on x

I haven’t called since Wednesday last week and that was to check they received my form, I’m going to call tomorrow as I’m 30 weeks today.
I’m hoping it’s been done or will be in the next week🤞🏽
