I was dreading being the last one waiting out of all of the people with COC on here and not having anyone near my SD🙈 what’s your SD? Have you called recently?X

My sd is 28/04 it's been with a dm since last week called yesterday and they are waiting on school getting back to them then they will make a decision x

I caved and rang first time I’ve actually had someone nice on the phone she told me it was with a dm but I didn’t ask since when so im going to call up next week and see hopefully you hear soon as it’s the waiting that I don’t like 😅

Nope, I’m mines was originally an mr in March then dla sent it to COC in May. I called on Monday for an update they said I had to refill out the form or a DM wouldn’t be able to look at the claim and they where supposed to tell me this when they sent it to CoC and didn’t so glad the call handler caught this but she said it could take months or be with one tomorrow 🙈X

Did you aw glad you got someone nice i totally understand they get a hell of a lot of calls a day but you can get some that are so rude that’s why I don’t like ringing that’s great that’s it’s with a dm am not ringing back for a couple of weeks now 😂

Im here lovely my scan date is 16th September, just another 4 months to go 😭 I’m just in the background watching as I’ve also submitted a renewal but know I’m nowhere near being allocated a DM x

Oohhh this is making me hopeful that mine should be done soon then too! Im the day before you, but i rang today to say they should get new evidence tomorrow! Im going to ring friday to make sure it got there. Please keep my informed xx

It’s stressful isn’t it🙈 hopefully the backlog comes down a bit and you won’t be as long as 7/8 months, you never know though I’ve seen a couple September COC awarded recently so 🤞🏽 you hear sooner X

Seems to be April to August that are caught in this back log🙈 I’m guessing when you put a COC in recently you get a decision faster like NC but I could be wrong, I haven’t seen many but a couple people with COC in September and October have had decisions made over the past few weeks😬X

Yeah i have seen the same, so im guessing your right about them being stuck in the backlog. Im trying not to think about my COC or my MR as i know theyre not going to be done for a while.

Im really hoping you get yours done soon though as youve been waiting long enough as it is. Xx

I was a long time lurker back at the start of the year to these threads - my 5 yr old was awarded in May.
Now My 2yr old has just been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, last month. The team said we should not wait and start the DLA claim straight away - that it’s a myth you need to wait 3 months from diagnosis to apply - it just means that’s when you will get payment from but you can still start your claim, like a 3 month waiting period kind of thing.

it took us 16 weeks first time round so I thought let’s start the NC and sent the forms off yesterday but coming on here and seeing NCs processed in 4/5 weeks, I’m shookth! Is this really the average wait times for NC at the moment?
if it is, that’s great but I’m also now super worried I’ll get a straight decline?

hopefully that’s the case then and helps with the stress of anyone doing mr or COC recently or in the future so they don’t have to go through the wait we have for the past 7-8 months😥 oh god, so am I right in thinking you are waiting on NC, MR and COC, how are you coping, im stressed with the 1 and I thought doing the form for 1 child was bad, couldn’t imagine doing that many😬 wishing you lots of luck and hopefully you get awarded what your children deserve😊X

Coc 23/04 going to call today as it’s over 31 weeks now :(

Yeap the dreaded wait is enough to go crazy, I really wish there was some way they could keep us more up to date with processing time, I really hope you aren’t waiting too much longer, have everything crossed for you. I have more faith in my sons renewal getting processed before the COC, if I knew the backlog I think I would of just left the COC and submitted the renewal. X

I know it will be so much less stress for them. Which is good!

Yeah i have two new claims, COC and MR. I have 5 girls all with autism, adhd and multiple other health issues. However my middle daughter doesnt need as much care as the rest of them atm so im not applying for her. If it changes though il do it in the future.
Thank you, its just so hard financially atm with constant appointments every other day and then everything i have to replace and specialist clothes etc. Il let you know if i hear anything soon xc

Just called as it’s been 31 weeks since COC and they told me a letter was sent out asking for more evidence! So I have to send that and still gonna be a wait! I’m so drained of this I really am!

My mr sc date was 15th may just rang and a decision was made today but wouldn’t tell me what is was so ringing back on number 4

absolute joke, I’ve never heard them ask for more evidence, I thought they just make a decision with what you send🤷🏽‍♀️ can takes weeks to receive their letters too or you don’t receive them at all, you would think they would call you if they needed information X
