A decision could be made today or even two weeks time. It just depends on the dm tbh. But shouldnt be too long. When was your scan date?

the 28th August is my scan date and I think it’s stressing me out more seeing new claims from October already getting news.

Just seen on fb a 7th April coc went to dm yesterday we cannot be far behind. I called yesterday about 4.30 nothing.

So I spoke to such a kind lady in option 4 who confirmed my son has been awarded HRC and LRM. I’m overjoyed. 2 year award. I’ve messaged UC to confirm change and requested disabled child and carers element be back paid and added to my current UC claim. This is life changing for us. I feel overwhelmed though as I’m not going to be able to spend the extra £1250 per month and with UC I’m allowed to have £6k capital before my amount is reduced. I’d dropped a day from work so the extra will help financially as the day off will mean I can have a better work life balance. I’d been struggling with my wellbeing due to the increasing demands of caring for my son. I hope everyone gets what’s needed for their children xxx

Many congratulations hun xx
That's amazing ! X

Plus the backdated money is £60 less than it should be for 3 months of money so I don't know how they work it out lol. Call them and they have 48hours to respond about it xx

I no it a joke they take so long I rang yesterday and they said someone will contact me by Thursday they are a joke and 60 pound defo is not right let me no what they say hope they sort it for you xxx

Hi ladies, I found this thread after googling wait times for DLA.
It looks like such a supportive place 😊

I sent off the forms for my Daughter's DLA application on the 07/11 (self-harm, suicide ideation anxiety and awaiting assessment for Autism/ADHD)
It's a NC

I received a text saying that they'd received the application on the 10/11
Is that the scan date? Or do you get another text when it's put on the system?

Good luck ladies and I hope you get the outcome you're hoping for x

That's your scan date. You are literally a month behind and I received our decision today. It's a really quick process at the moment for new claims (which makes me feel awful as so many people are currently waiting for so long on older claims)

Milchris77 · 11/11/2025 21:06

@Cutie101 thank you so much 👌
That's really good to know.
I'm going to try to forget about it now, so I'm not constantly checking the date and staring at my bank!
Fingers crossed I'll be lucky and get a quick positive result 🤞

I'm so glad you got a positive result, and just in time for Christmas too! X

If it helps, my child's application was for pretty much exactly the same as you have said.

I’m really hoping that those waiting get an outcome soon. I’m sorry if my post was triggering for anyone. Sending lots of love and support xxx

Milchris77 · 11/11/2025 21:50

I'm hoping it goes through ok, I didn't print off reams of evidence, just followed the guidance I got from fightback4justice.

I figured if it gets rejected I'll go to MR and get all her medical records and info from school.

It's crazy how many hoops we have to jump through to get support, especially considering how much extra time we have to put into supporting our kids! x

It doesnt trigger me, i really struggle with waiting and im a serious over thinker. Im happy for everyone who has been awarded. The wait is a killer, especially when you dont know for certain you are going to be awarded for your child.

Hope you get the award your child deserves! Best of luck!

It doesn’t trigger me☺️ Is a bit annoying when people come on complaining about their NC not being done in a few weeks because they have seen other people being awarded within weeks, I know everything is frustrating but it’s a read the room sort of thing and I know it can be annoying but realistically it is supposed to take 15 weeks not 5 weeks so if you don’t hear anything by 15 then complain😬, there’s a few people on here like me that waited 7 months for a new claim over the past year and are waiting 7 months now for an MR or COC. But I’m so happy that kids are getting awarded and quicker than ever by the sounds of it and that’s the way it should be and hopefully everyone’s MR and COC that we have waited long enough for get positive outcomes for our kids and they sort this backlog out🙈

Im also waiting for a MR and COC so i know all to well how frustrating it can be. I put my NC end of january/begining of febuary and was refused in july. Put my MR in 4th of august. And i know it wont even be looked at til March. Been waiting for COC since beginning of july and i know that will be march too. Im just worried that mines going to be declined thats all.

I also believe they should even out the wait times between all NCs, COC and MR. As i dont believe its fair that NC are only a few weeks but the others are waiting several months.

I hope you hear something soon and i hope your child gets the award they deserve and you dont have to fight it further. Fingers crossed for you! 😊

i know how can they not meet in the middle, 15 weeks for NC so the backlog can be brought down to atleast 15/20 weeks for Mr and CoC which is normal wait time for anything these days. It’s frustrating enough with the wait time for appointments, support and getting a diagnosis, that’s a whole other fight in itself so hopefully we hear soon🤞🏽

Honestly i dont understand it. They need to retweak the system. I know the waiting game for appointments, diagnosis and getting extra support for our children is a whole different ball game. Fingers crossed for you!!

Hi.
Nc 09.06 rejected

I sent in the MR recorded delivery on 15th October but have received no confirmation they have it. Is this normal for an MR?

Thanks
