Finally after having the best call handler in the world spend over 30 mins looking at our claim to find out what was going on - he escalated our claim on Thursday afternoon and we received a call today from a DM this morning. Called back this afternoon and confirmed a decision had been made in our favour. MR 3/4, 53 weeks in total. This will make the world of difference to our boy!

so after being on high rate care to then go low rate care from renewal and then at MR to nothink I’ve decided to do a new claim I have lots more evidence and school reports from senco and them explaining everything and I’ve done everythink in detail and medical evidence to back up so fingers crossed my son will be awarded again it’s been really hard financially and emotionally last few months. I still didn’t receive statement of reason even though I’ve phoned up several times from middle Oct for it. Hopefully not a long wait again ☺️ xxx I posted forms of today they should get tomorrow x

So happy for you🥹 , it’s great that you didn’t wait long at all and it’s what they should be doing with COC and especially MR so people don’t go into financial hardship when awards are lowered when they shouldn’t have been. Don’t understand how one DM can make a decision and give kids lower than they deserve and weeks later another DM gives them the right award, we wouldn’t be applying for DLA or doung a change if we didn’t have some sort of evidence to back us up🙈 congratulations and hopefully you don’t have to stress anytime soon for a renewal🤞🏽

Rang up DLA today as I forgot to include one of my sons reports in his renewal. I’ve no letters or texts. An award of MRC and LRM was made at the end of last week. My son has turned five so his previous award was for MRC.

Nope nothing still 😞 it’s dragging on so much, I’m 31 weeks today! I’m going to call again tomorrow, hopefully they will have some news by then 🤞

Morning, great to read that so many have had positive outcomes for their children, I also know there’s so many still waiting. I had my son’s first assessment appointment with private consultant. I’m holding off ringing up re asking if it’s worth me sending clinic letter to DLA. Sometimes ignorance is bliss! I know if I call and they say it’s not been looked at yet then I’ll be disheartened. I’m trying not to let it become all consuming. I have however turned my bank notifications on 🤣 I’m praying for the right outcome for my son and a long renewal period so I can have some respite from going through all this again anytime soon 😆

Im mindful I’m only in the 5th week of waiting so trying to stay grounded and realistic that we may not be one of the fortunate that hear after 4 weeks xxx

I was renewed until 2029 so quite pleased (DS will be 9)

It has been really quiet for COC decisions just lately, 3/4 had their decision last week at 31 weeks, I’m 31 weeks today and there is another person that will be 31 weeks tomorrow. I’m going to call again tomorrow in a hope they have made a decision today but when I called yesterday they said it was still in the holding queue.

Don’t think there have been any COC awarded on here since last week and they where end of March ones and they where awarded at 31 weeks, I haven’t seen any on FB. I’m 28 weeks today and going to call on Friday. A lot of MR done this week though and awarded which is a positive, seems to be quiet because of the schools being off so hopefully we see some COC by the end of the week X

Ok so call this instinct but I decided to call this morning bang on 9 am, I got through in under 5 mins and was told a decision was made yesterday! They said they don’t have access to the decision on their screen so couldn’t tell me . That’s 4 weeks exactly and a decision was made on NC. I guess now I just wait to see if I get payment first xx

Update I rang yesterday to see if they had received extra evidence she said yes but it’s gone under my name I said I don’t claim anything it’s for my daughter so that had to be sorted out then I asked about how long the wait will be now she said if you haven’t heard anything within two weeks give us a call back am a over thinker and just feel like they will say anything to get you off the phone sorry about the rant 😅

Well, I notified UC on Friday, twins verified on Sunday. Received back pay today. My work coach is amazing. To be fair she always goes above and beyond.

So happy for you case manger is rubbish I had note on my journal Saturday about they made decision to backdate to arugust but still nuffin about when I receive my backpay it so annoying xxx
