You actually should be in the quicker back log. Anyone before 15th July are waiting a very long time 18wks plus. Anyone after its dramatically reduced wait times. So hopefully won't be too long for you.

Ahh I've clearly misunderstood then when I thought it was September onwards in the shorter backlog. Thanks so much for clarifying! It would be great to hear sooner, although I feel for the people stuck waiting longer just because they were before a certain date!

I will be 31 weeks on Tuesday for a COC, I have sent loads of evidence to support my child being smi and should qualify for Hrm under this criteria, I should hopefully hear something this week coming. It’s hard to get Hrm under smi criteria so even I can’t guarantee what my decision will be, they don’t seem to like giving out Hrm much.

Yes I've done the same thing I'm hoping to hear soon but have a feeling it's going to be a no anyway ! What rate do you currently get x

Hey lovely. Been waiting to hear an update from you. Fingers crossed for you. X

Hi, how are you getting on? Feel like I’ve missed loads from these threads 😂 I’m so nervous, it’s really stressing me out at the minute. My mam thinks it’s a good thing that I’ve been asked to go to court in person as I can tell them properly rather than written down and there’ll be more emotion behind it etc but I’m terrible with face to face things x

I claim child benefit and was still asked to send in ds birth cert.

Same thing happened to me. Ring them and ask them if they can verify through child benefit. Thats how my twins were verified.

I sent birth cert in already his claim was last year. But useful to know incase I ever have to deal with them with my other children.

Did you try for hrm ? What did they award you ? Xx

When we sent in his renewal we sent in loads of information regarding HRM but in his decision not once was the evidence we sent mentioned, we felt if they had rejected him for HRM (we had specifically asked them to look at it) they should have mentioned it in his statement of reasons. There justification for LRM is he CAN physically walk unaided without the use of specialist tools... okay great but hes so unpredictable we either have to grip onto his hand for dear life or use a pair of reigns in order to stop him running off.

But looks like this week will be d-day, fingers crossed.

She’s currently on mrc, I first applied when she was 3 with no evidence, no diagnosis only a preschool statement, the award at the time didn’t meet her needs but I didn’t have the evidence to show it. Now she’s nearly 5 so much worse diagnosed, blue badge, ehcp and been seen by loads of people, it’s states her needs to qualify for hrc and hrm throughout all the reports so hopefully I won’t have to do a MR 🤞

That’s a long wait, is it not possible to escalate it? As it’s well over due.

What was you SD again x

Jessesmum19 · 10/11/2025 10:59

Our son's nearly 7 I've sent all his evidence in already plus more and he was awarded Hrc and lrm when he was 5 I did a change of circumstances as he can't walk far he has hyper mobility and just stops and lies down no matter where he is we have to use a disability pram if we are out of the car. He's a big boy and I struggle to carry him. He's non verbal and doesn't follow instructions also only just got into a school that can meet his needs. He's has an echp that clearly stages his needs plus 1-1 support also explains his gross motor skills etc but I somehow still don't think it will be enough x
