MR SD 22/04

we put new claim in 18/12/24 and got completely declined in April. I have just called and that has been changed to HRC for 2 years!!

never weeped soo much in my life! The fight is finally over.

thank you to everyone on here who has given help and encouragement and I wish everyone else waiting the best of luck on your claims!

Congratulations that’s amazing news 👏

Coc SD 28/04
Just called for an update and they have said they are still working in march's coc so looks like it's going to be another month at least !

I’m 30 weeks today for coc and they said the same to me today but all the March dates have been done so they must be on the beginning of April surely?

LilyTulip · 04/11/2025 15:43

Nothing I’m afraid. I know it’s now been over two weeks with the team that locates/allocates the NI number an each time I’ve called they’ve mentioned that it goes to that team when a DM deems that an award is likely. Last time I called (Friday) I was told to give it another 2-3 weeks.

The whole system is just a massive drag they said it’ll take a couple weeks a couple of weeks ago. I sent in more evidence and I’m sure that’ll long it out even more. But I claim child benefit so my son has a ni number they just need to find it as I didn’t know it, you’ll think it’ll just be on the system that they can quickly search for. But I’m expecting them to ask for a birth certificate or something that’ll take even more time

Congratulations 😁 that’s really quick I put a NC for my daughter 28th August I’m assuming now seeing most NC being quick that mine has been declined

I think newer claims from September onwards are being dealt with by a different team, to clear backlog. I know it doesn't seem fair to those waiting longer.

Princessmom222 · 04/11/2025 17:10

Im 27th of august and still waiting. Rang this morning and it still isnt with a dm.

Oilytoe90 · 04/11/2025 17:32

Hi guys I did COC back in Feb and was dropped down to MRC and LRM. Beginning of September. MR mid September (can't remember actual dates) had a call today from DM who said will be making a decision by end of week!! I wasn't expecting anything till March!!

I wonder if you do a MR or COC around September and onwards you don’t get caught in the backlog and get looked at quicker like the NC. Good luck🤞🏽X

Did you send in extra evidence within 30 days of the decision? I wonder if they have classed it as you sending in late evidence instead of a MR?

For anyone who has waited longer than 4 weeks for their backpay for UC disabled child element use this link https://makeacomplaint.dwp.gov.uk/

unfortunately I had the same issue last year and the year before. It works though, 3 times I used it and all 3 times were resolved and back pay processed within 24 hours. DWP complaints department confirmed they have a 4 week SLA.

Make a complaint about JSA or UC - DWP

That’s so great to hear glad you didn’t have a long wait hoping my daughters isn’t to long of a wait this time

MR-17/4
Spoke to a nice gentleman on the phone who messaged the case manager and told me the case manager asked to pass on that it's in my favour and was finishing up typing up final decision. I don't know what rate but I pray they have reinstated what we was previously awarded. I really want to know what they have awarded.
Overall we would be 29weeks on Thursday.

Pakis2020 · 05/11/2025 10:40

My claim was due to be renewed by 13november, it was done 2 weeks before but they backdated it to the date I sent renewal forms back to them xx
