You’ve seen some end of March still waiting? I thought March was finished, guessing it’s going to be more like 31 weeks before I get a decision then 😞

I see loads March (approx 19th march) still waiting for coc
Not seen any coc awards on any either :-/

Mammyof2EZ · 30/10/2025 11:28

When I spoke to them yesterday re COC they told me they had finished March and were up to beginning of April and again said only ones that were done after were ones that were also due for renewal. My SD is 23/4 and they said there is no time frame for it but it is very likely to go over 30 weeks. It’s frustrating as these forms were supposed to be sent to me last Oct befroe my son was 5 I called up on Dec, Jan and March and I didn’t receive them until April! Really annoying! Sorry if I’ve said this 100 times 😂😂😂😂

MR SD 22/04
just called and told it’s now with a case manager, is this not a decision maker? My stress and anxiety has gone through the roof!

Saw your post so I braved the phoning them too. MR 17/4
I was told it is now with a case manager who looks over all the paperwork previous form/renewal form in my case and additional evidence submitted then they will make a decision. I did ask what all the steps are and they said this is the final person who will make a decision and to wait until I hear from them. I went through all the dates I have phoned up and still not had anyone call me back as I had requested so doubtful anyone will get intouch.
I agree this process causing so much added extra stress and anxiety for us all!

I had to call up twice before I received my daughters COC forms too, but they have said on the phone it would be backdated to when I called the first time if the award changes. When I spoke to them last week they said it’s up to 30 weeks so I was hoping I would hear something by the time the half term is over 😞 such a long wait isn’t it!

oh wow, good luck! If only they had an online system that should you where your claim is. Would save the consistent phone calls and stress for parents.

I have sent quite a bit of additional evidence from when we first got declined so I just hope they read through it properly! They didn’t read any evidence at all from new claim!

I just have a horrible feeling in my stomach and don’t want to go through another years wait for tribunal!

Is this on Facebook? How are they still waiting? That’s crazy! All the March dates on here have had a decision already.

Red1991 · 30/10/2025 12:28

I was awarded for my son when he was 2 he’s just turned 4 so maybe you need to change the way you word things hun cause that’s bs x

Curlycookie5 · 30/10/2025 12:30

So I called, nice man, I said I’m nearly 30 weeks and he said is this for a COC straight away, he said it’s waiting to go to a case manager, when they pick it up they might call me if they need anymore information or they might make a decision and send out the letter and he’s added a note for the dm and payment line to send me out a text when the decision has been made. Not really sure why a text from both but I suppose double the chances of actually getting a text 😂 payment line surely would suggest an additional payment is being made? Or am I overthinking this seen as he said it’s waiting to go to a case manager? Also has anyone had a security question of what hospital does your child attend?

Good luck and fingers crossed for positive outcomes!
I feel because its been so long since submitting its causing us to 2nd guess what we have put in giving us that horrible stomach feeling.
I'm praying we don't have to go through tribunals after this length of time waiting and fighting for our children's needs.

Is that the dm queue? Still could mean its weeks away :-(
Fingers crossed its not tho x

Did they call you before making their decision? Did you call on option 1,5,1,4? They normally can tell you

I haven’t got a clue, but the last 2 times I’ve called they’ve said case manager and not decision maker? When before they used to say waiting to be allocated to a dm? Unless it’s been to a dm then sent to the medical team for the hrm and waiting to go to the case manager. I’m confused now! I also find it strange the amount of times they’ve brought up my daughters diagnosis and paediatricians when I’m calling for an update and then today a security question about hospitals, surely it would suggest it’s been looked at for it to show all that on the system?

Emzi538 · 30/10/2025 12:59

I think they make up as they go along :-/

Red1991 · 30/10/2025 13:01

It’s crazy isn’t it the wait and stress and because we are already getting some £ it’s like we are dismissed back of the que meanwhile they are accepting new claims ino of so many people false claiming messes it up for the rest of us who genuinely need it sigh

Are you COC aswell? I totally agree with you, I’ve met far too many of these people and I find it insulting, it’s taking away the support from the children that actually need it and it’s awful! Makes me so angry!

Thank you lovely …..I feel sick with relief!! Even know I knew I’d sent in all I could …I was mentally preparing for Tribunal battle next (we all know everything is battle so I always hope for the best but prepare for the worst!) and for once it went in my boys favour!! And the award length I’m over the moon with I have a £3000 (ish) back payment coming too , Sending all my love to everyone on here what a lovely community ❤️❤️
