My son was awarded at 10 (just before he turned 11) in a mainstream school with no EHCP. We are currently waiting on a renewal now so no idea what it will look like going forward. I know someone who has just been awarded at 11 with no Ehcp and in mainstream. Don’t lose hope

Thank you for the reply gave me abit of hope. I just so worried if it get taken away how she will get to school I use it for her to get taxi to and from school everyday and her sensory class she has new a week and her extra class a week outside of school for her maths xxx

it's madness how new claims are now being awarded from September so only taking 6-8 weeks to be awarded but soo many with MR and COC taking 30 weeks! Anyone had any updates about renewal? Mines due 13th November and haven't heard anything yet.

Its crazy! Have seen no on fb taking less than 5 weeks :-/

Seen a few 4 weeks too, surely if they met in the middle and done NC at 15 weeks the back log for COC and MR would go down? Makes no sense at all. A joke having people waiting over half a year for a decision, they would be quick enough to take the money if you where due them it X

I kniw so many in front of us and I have seen March coc still waiting!! Not holding much hope that ours will be done by Xmas now tbh

Don’t understand how they can have awards being made 2/3 months or more apart😬 I’m hoping ours are done soon🤞🏽I done my little boys NC in September 2024 and didn’t get awarded until March 2025 so surely we should be done by Christmas, it felt like forever for them to get back to awarding after new years this year🙈

I did my little man in Jan 23 and he was awarded June (not my son i have done coc for)
We are 25 weeks next fri , sending drs report tomorrow so will wait til we are 25 weeks for update and to check

I’m 25 weeks tomorrow but I called Friday and there was no update so I’m not calling again until 30 weeks if I haven’t heard anything by then, unless I have more evidence to send X

29 weeks today for a COC I’m hoping this is my last week of waiting 🤞

Thursday would be 30 weeks exactly I believe. I won’t call again until next week if I haven’t heard. Fingers crossed for us all x

Hey. Is anybody still waiting for NC from August? My scan date is the 22nd August. Not had a letter, not had a text or anything. Zilch. But they’ve definitely received the forms because I called up to check.

How can they justify doing new claims in 8 weeks and leaving MRs to wait six months!

im so fed up total decline NC in June after waiting six months and still waiting from June for MR- looking at January.

for whoever was worried about EHCP my son has an EHCP and was declined. There is no rhyme or reason to this stupid system!

Hi, im still waiting and im the 27th of august.

new claim 29/30th July and I’m still waiting and I’ve never received a letter only a text 2 weeks after I sent the forms off

Im still waiting from June.

COC 24/3 decision was made on 25/10 - no change to reward but has been extended so I will be doing a MR so another 7 month wait

Just called still not allocated 29 weeks tomorrow. Said still on march which I can’t see as I’ve seen may June done already it’s all over the show!

I’m so sorry to hear the decision wasn’t what you was hoping for 😞 I don’t know what’s going on at the moment there seems to be so many people not getting the right awards for their children. I hope it isn’t about cutting costs because this is the wrong area to cut. Good luck with your MR

It makes no sense at all, there are people being awarded at 20-21 weeks and if you haven’t had a decision by then we are left waiting til 30 weeks. Hopefully we won’t be to much longer 🤞
