Mine is 04/06 I called a week ago and they told me not to call back until 25 weeks

Okay I’ll give it a miss then. Just stressful seeing people be awarded from late August and not hearing anything keep convincing myself it’s a decline and they’ve just forgot to tell me. If only they did an online portal so you can see any updates

Mumof1xox · 13/10/2025 14:56

@Scaffwife the wait is horrible 😭 I’m gonna call again in 2 weeks

That's exactly how I feel. They'd save themselves a lot of time making it so people could check it themselves x

Is anyone waiting for renewal in November?

Duchess89 · 13/10/2025 17:24

My little girls renewal date is 22/10. Currently on MRC LRM, hoping to stay the same albeit a longer award (awarded for 2 years Oct 23). Called today and a decision was made yesterday but she said she can’t tell me and I have to wait for the letter! Is this a new rule? I’ve always been told in the past (son is on DLA too - joys of 2 autistic children!)

Hey I think if you call then use option 1,5,1,4 they tell you on that one

Im happy for kids getting what they deserve don’t get me wrong but we can also be frustrated at the fact that kids that are already classed as disabled/needing more care have to wait 30 weeks of not knowing anything and could possibly be declined and have to do this wait all over again😭 a good few people on here have been on here as long as me that had NC from September/october last year and we are still on here after already waiting 25/30 weeks for our new claims, I done a MR in March sent of extra evidence and medication then got a letter 8 weeks later saying it was more of a COC so Ill have waited the best part of 40 weeks for a decision if i have to wait 30 weeks from the COC SD🙈 What’s your SD and are you mobility or cars?X

Absolutely, I'm really happy for people getting what they need, but also really frustrated and annoyed that they see COC and MR's as the least priority because we already have an award. Or that people have had it a lot sooner than others. I'm so sorry that you've had to wait this long, thats awful that they did that and made you wait even longer. My scan dates is 19.03 and yes just for mobility, I am going for high rate, we already get HRC and LRM, so I will wait and see what happens, not holding much hope, I feel like we are just being left to wait because they are going to decline it and then it will be another 30 odd weeks for a MR, so over a year all in all

Harrysmummy2016 · 13/10/2025 18:22

Curlycookie5 · 13/10/2025 13:32

I know I would sooner have a certain date they need to tell us by and have a decision on that date, I was going to call this morning but there isn’t any point with you still waiting in March. You must be so frustrated all the mobility claims getting done so early, I don’t know why they don’t just keep it in date order it’s the fairest way to do it

It would make it a lot easier if they just gave us a date, it would stop calls constantly and give people a bit of reassurance that we haven't been forgotten. I'm going to call on Thursday, it will be over 30 weeks then, hopefully they can tell me more. I am really frustrated that all other mobility claims are being done, its making me panic that they are not only going to decline it, but also reduce his care to either medium or low and I will lose it with them if they do, I'd like to see them have 2-4 hours sleep at most a night and have a child with disabilities and work full time on top of that and not act the same way as us when they change things when you've put there is no change to the care side

I agree with this but I do also think they should prioritise MR’s that got declined because waiting 43 weeks currently with no award has been hell

Yes, I completely agree, I don't think it is fair to wait for a decision to then get declined and have to wait another 40 odd weeks, its absolutely awful

Curlycookie5 · 13/10/2025 12:48

That’s so confusing! I wish they would stick to what they say! There is so many that say it’s not with a dm when it is so I wouldn’t worry to much, your 30 weeks tomorrow aren’t you? So it’s surely got to be any time now.

I just have this feeling they are telling me it's in the queue to avoid telling me it was rejected and for me to just wait for the dreaded letter in the post. However I noted that the call handlers who are the least bothered like to keep saying "you will get a text when a decision is made" which is probably another tactic to get people off the phone.

Thank you, I will be 27 weeks tomorrow so will probably have another 3 weeks 🤦‍♀️

StanleyParents · 13/10/2025 19:24

MR was 25th April 2025, heard nothing yet, hoping to get some additional evidence in before they look at it again, assuming I still have time!!

Daryl54 · 13/10/2025 19:39

@Curlycookie5 mine was 27 weeks Fri just gone and went to a decision maker so fingers crossed 🤞 for you it’s a long wait isn’t it xxx

Everything seems to be a waiting game, my little one was awarded LRC in March so fingers crossed it can only go up from here🤞🏽 I put the Mr in on March 15th until they changed it to a COC on 06/05. Gutting for anyone that does a change and the care gets changed absolutely shocking that they do that when you say the care hasn’t changed, the financial hardship that would put on someone shouldn’t be aloud unless the care has changed to less😭 I wonder if you do an MR or COC from July to now they get it earlier like NC recently. Good luck and hopefully you hear soon with you being 30 weeks this week😊

Mummyto4girls86 · 13/10/2025 20:58

Very confused as I submitted a COC scan date 17/09/25, renewal is due early Feb so received renewal forms through last week and posted Saturday just gone so doubt they would have scanned them yet. Wasn't expecting to hear anything until January at least with the wait times. But I have received a letter today award has been renewed till Feb 2028 at the same level HRC LRM, My DD was diagnosed with Accute Myeloid Leukaemia July so there has been a significant change in mobility needs. Award was previously for ASD/ADHD. I don't understand why a decision was made so quick. Not applied under the special rules as she isnt terminal.

Benjamin1988 · 13/10/2025 21:20

Mandatory reconsideration scan date march 18th rang up today she said it was with a decision maker just wondering how long will I find out out the decision

Happydays213374 · 13/10/2025 22:03

Am I able to send the same evidence for a mr and a coc??

For an MR they'll already look over the evidence you have sent with the initial claim. Im sure you can with a coc but I do think theyd want up to date evidence? Not 100% sure on that though

Frankadoodle · 14/10/2025 07:25

New to thread but been on here before , NC scan date 26/08/2025. Daughter has diagnosis of autism .

received a random payment today from DLA which would equate to about 3 months worth of high rate care low rate mobility back paid .

just thought I’d update for people in August also waiting . Really was not expecting to hear anything till much later in the year .

going to ring DLA today and confirm what the payment is for . Il update once I have spoken to them

Kittieflies · 14/10/2025 07:37

MR Date 3/4 called last Thursday and was told no update. Originally awarded LRC/LRM for 7 years until son is 12. When applied only had ASD diagnosis report. Now have ADHD diagnosis (moderate/severe), lots of evidence regarding support levels from school, IEP, IBP, occupational therapy reports etc. Also provided a 'day in the life' overview of struggles and a letter highlighting all the key pieces of evidence from school/professionals.
I've seen a few April date on FB being awarded or having calls from DM's the waiting is awful!!
