This is devastating news 😞 I’m so sorry. How can they not have looked at it properly they have had it for long enough, it tells you something when even the call handler agrees they’ve not looked at it properly. Definitely fight it all the way. What rate was you on before?

Middle rate care, low rate mobility

I hope they aren’t just trying to rush through them to clear the backlog, you’ve waited ages the least they could do is sit down and read it all properly.

Exactly I’m gutted for my son I really am, he’s struggling so much hour by hour, took me about 2 weeks to gather all the evidence even paying for evidence from doctors etc and to be smacked with this, I’m so angry, and that fact of waiting another year+ is absolutely insane to me

My friend had the DM call her the other day for her daighter coc and she literally said 'I can see she meets criteria for the higher award I just need more up to date evidence ' all the evidence my friend has sent to support the COC is from October 2024 to June 2025 so I dont understand how theyre saying they need up to date evidence, June was 3 months ago! Her claim has now been sent to the in house medical team

Most appointments are yearly appointments so I don’t get how she is supposed to provide up to date evidence? Not only that it would have been up to date evidence when she sent off her COC form 🤦‍♀️ I take it they will be carrying on with the decision now without anymore evidence being sent in? I’m waiting on my daughter’s paediatrician report in the post and already have her dietitian report ready to send in then that’s all they will be getting from me. Have you had an update yet?

itsonlyjoan · 05/09/2025 13:24

Meglee93 · 05/09/2025 13:34

hey I'm waiting for the backpay from universal credit, how long is this currently taking? Children are still not verified and last time they done that within a day! Also when you leave a message in the journal is it a message about a payment or for work coach? Xx

3isenough8 · 05/09/2025 13:45

My friend just had a call about her daughters m/r . To clarify some things and check her bank detials are the same , then called her again to double check the bank details .
Said she will get a letter with the results. Her scan date was mid February.

Contact your local MP hun. Normally they will get in touch with DWP and it gets expedited. I’ve seen a few people who have done that x

Oilytoe90 · 05/09/2025 15:19

Mine was with one for a day! Defo call again xx

When my first claim was with a DM, they had it for about 12 weeks. Was in contact with them quite a while and the hold up had been that they were waiting on a reply from my GP. Even with my chasing it both ends for weeks, it took forever. Sometimes theyre sat with a DM for a while due to other people they have to contact

ellierose99 · 05/09/2025 18:30

Do they always call for more information? I sent quite a lot of evidence so I assumed they wouldn't need to
