I applied for DLA for my son, got a text on 29th July saying application received and 25 week wait etc, but I haven't received a letter. Is this normal? I've seen a lot of you guys had letters with scan dates but as I only have a text I'm confused

I got a text 4th August saying it was received but I didn’t get a letter. I only know the scan date because I phoned and asked for it. I believe that’s how most people have found out their scan date.

I just woke up to a payment in my bank from DLA. I could cry!

New claim SD 22/7. Should be backdated to 11/6. Payment of £1031 - is that around 14 weeks of middle rate care?

NC SD 26/07 no letter or text but got £665 from DWP overnight. Is that middle rate? I submitted claims for two of my children and both have the same scan date so perhaps that’s low rate for both?

I also woke up to a payment! I’m in shock! NC SD 10th July, so almost 11 weeks wait.. looks like HRC and LRM. I can’t believe it!! Never had any texts or letter at all - so for those who haven’t, don’t give up hope!

NC SD 25/7 pending payment for tomorrow of £1116-80! They are speeding up! Can someone confirm rates? I'm thinking HRC LRM? So happy right now ❤️

Week 26 for me m/r . Called yday told they are currently doing middle of March so not long but they say something different everytime I call.

Feb is done now I think, Beginning to 19th March still waiting, 20th March to end of March has been done, I’m still waiting 8/4 but 14/4 has been done. I think they must be making a start on beginning of March now.

We are 16/05 but did request forms 30/4... have requested both looked at... can see them not changing... although b4 forms he was diagnosed asd and now epilepsy and as he has no awareness of seizures he has to be supervised (has both myoclonic and tonic) and we have been trained for emergency medication.

Thankyou @3isenough8 I did ring on Friday and the man said the same to me and should have a decision in the next week and and a half hoping we hear soon as it’s been a long wait hasn’t it my son has always been on high rate care then in his renewal they dropped him to low rate care xx

Nc scan date 24th abd 25th June still waiting.

Morning, when I called yday they told me they were working on mid Feb and my COC scan date was 5/3 and I’ve not heard anything but have phoned them weekly for the last month x
