There’s other coc that was told it wasn’t with anyone but was infact with a dm at that time, I just wish they would be straight with us where our claims are up to. Everyone around my scan date has received a decision, it doesn’t make sense why they skipped a section of scan dates and went onto the end of March / April. Hopefully we see aload of COC awarded soon there doesn’t seem many decisions just lately.

I called last Thursday and was told not with DM a few hours later I had a call from DM asking for evidence I forgot to send. Just waiting for them to receive it. So don't feel too deflated when they say it's not with a DM coz someone could literally pick it up a few mins later xx

I am yes 😣 all I get when I call is they can’t give information on wait times for COC, I’m 23 weeks and 2 days. It’s strange because they seem to have done 20/3 - 14/4 and my scan date is 8/4.

Is yours a care and mobility coc?
I wonder if people just claiming mobility is done quicker :-/

There seems to be a lot of COC throughout these last couple of threads that haven’t updated when they’ve received a decision, I do wonder if it’s because they didn’t get a good decision? I have no clue what a reviewing team is? 😵‍💫 I’ve never been told that one before but it would make sense for someone to look over them before going to a dm to make the decisions quicker. Each time I’ve called it sounds like it’s close to dm stage then they say they can’t give information for coc. I’m just worrying now because it seemed like they was getting it down to 21 weeks but I’ve not heard anything at 23 weeks.

If I remember correctly we both sent evidence around the same time because decisions where being done quicker a few weeks ago, but seems to be at a stand still which I thought was possibly because of summer holidays and them needing to contact schools, could possibly be taking longer the more evidence you send. Maybe they’ve got good decisions and they aren’t bothered about updating on here as if they didn’t surely they would be on here and doing an MR. I’m not expecting to hear a decision this month but hopefully sometime in October. Fingers crossed you hear by the end of the month🤞🏽 Feel like you’ve been on here longer than anyone X

I feel like I’ve been on here for ages, it’s because I was waiting for my son’s renewal when I put in the COC form for my daughter. You’ve made a good point, I think I will do a MR myself if my daughter award doesn’t change, I’ve sent in so much evidence to support it that it should hopefully change 🤞 I have a feeling they have contacted her paediatrician because they’ve brought up her diagnosis report a few times when I’ve called. Have you noticed there seems to be aload of decisions then nothing for ages? Maybe this is why it’s quiet at the moment. Atleast when all the feb and march dates have been done we will know ours won’t be much longer.

My COC is for care and mobility, I did wonder if the mobility side goes to a certain dm and that’s what is makes it longer but I think the other April coc was for care and mobility too

I found these threads in February while waiting on a NC from September last year and I thought that took longer because of Christmas and new year but now I know it’s a backlog. I feel like the COC has took longer and more of a toll on me. I didn’t do the best stressing my little boys needs the first time round and after being on here and got a bit more of an idea of how things work, things have changed quite a bit since he was awarded and I’ve sent evidence for all the changes so hoping I’ve done a better job this time round. Yeah defo seems to be a lots of claims one week then barely any the next. I’ll be 20 weeks next week, If you don’t phone it can take weeks for a decline letter to turn up and they won’t tell you over the phone if it’s a decline so I’ll be phoning atleast once a week from next week to see if a decision is made or check the bank everyday to see if my little ones been awarded. Lets hope next week we see some awards🤞🏽X

We are 19 wks 2moro, ours is for both but think they wont consider the mobility :-/

Mine is just for care, but I have put some bits about his walking and there’s evidence for it on the reports , my little boy just turned 4 I’ll deal with mobility when he’s 5 and gives me a year to see what he gets diagnosed with and to see if his walking gets any worse as right now he can’t walk without his body stiffening and hyper extending his knees and I have to carry him everywhere or he’s in a running stroller so I’m hoping he gets awarded a higher care from LRC and with the back date get him a disability stroller to fit in my car as his stroller right now doesn’t fit , if his walking does get worse I’ll need to self refer to physiotherapy and go private so money would just go towards that because of these waiting lists for appointments as paediatrician thinks his walking is sensory related X

LocoCoco13 · 18/09/2025 21:20

The only good thing about the long wait for our MR is the fact weve had so much more evidence to send in in that wait. If the decision isnt overturned especially now my child has her genetic condition confirmed ill actually squeal the place down 😂

Oilytoe90 · 19/09/2025 09:37

They have received my evidence on 16th, she's emailed the DM to let them know it's on there and that she can make a decision 🤞 decision is made today xx

Mumofthree1989 · 19/09/2025 10:10

I’m still waiting on COC. 12/05 scan date and it was for mobility only. They have our last piece of evidence now. So now I wait x

That’s what I’ve supplied evidence for aswell. Hopefully we’ve done enough it seems hard to get it under smi. Keep me updated hoping you receive some good news soon 🤞

I sent literally everything i have, educational psychology report, ASD diagnosis and sensory profile which states he reacts to unexpected noises, busy crowds and has no sense of danger, he's constantly climbing school fences and running off around the school, running into roads etc.. fingers and toes crossed for us both x

Me too, if they don’t change her award I have nothing else to give, I’ve sent her educational psychology report, IEP, preschool reports, ehcp, diagnoses report, paediatrician report, dietician report, blue badge application and acceptance, musculoskeletal report, bowel and bladder, SALT, sleep diary, walking diary and the smi test referring to each evidence it has come from. She should be on high care too but we didn’t have any evidence when I first applied so I’m hoping they change that too. I’m probably overthinking this but her usually Dla payment is normally pending in my bank by now 😵‍💫

It will probably take them a year to read through it all 😂 She was only diagnosed 11 months ago but there has been a lot of appointments to get things in place before she started school, I can’t say that worked though because they can only handle her for a hour and a half 🤦‍♀️ absolutely joke the school system!

It also depends what’s in the evidence that matters, I’m hoping my last paediatrician report fills in the last piece of evidence I needed for smi

Is your child’s DLA payment still not pending? I wonder if that could mean they have made a decision? Hopefully they will decide today for you!

Donna543987 · 19/09/2025 15:50

Is anyone else waiting on uc for the back payment for carers element and disabled child element? I reported about my daughter getting DLA on the 15th August they verified her on the 10th September so i put a message in the journal about getting back pay that same day didn’t get a response until the 16th to say it’s been referred to the decision maker

If its not overturned at coc please do MR amd then tribunal if you have to (hoping you dont need to do that) they bank on the fact most people dont go to tribunal because they've no fight left in them

Yep SD 4th of March. I got my DS amended updated EHCP through so rang yesterday to ask if I had time to send, and she said to send as it isn’t with anyone yet anyway! It was delivered to them today. I am loosing hope of it being anytime soon. It’s been delivered today (sent special delivery) so will ring end of next week to check its scanned on and hopefully get an update!
