Well I am officially week 28 as of tomorrow for COC, SD 04/03
not sure wether to ring today or wait until tomorrow (don’t know if monday is a busier day to ring) also nervous in case they say oh yep it’s done and my COC wasn’t awarded. He’s definitely entitled but I have seen a few you’d think would be that have had a decline 🫣
anyone else ringing today?

Edited

28 weeks is crazy isn’t it! You’ve waited long enough so you have a right to call whenever you want to. Good luck I hope you get the award you was hoping for 🤞

My scan date is 8/4 but 20/3 - 14/4 have received their decisions already so I don’t know how long I will be waiting anymore 😵‍💫 hopefully they have gone back to finish off the last of the Feb and March dates now it only seems fair, you lot have been awaiting ages!

I am SD 19.03 COC, really starting to think that it is going to be rejected because other have had their decisions already. It is so stressful waiting for this. Every professional and support service we speak to, ask what DLA he gets are shocked when I say LRM, I am really hoping they up it, but not holding my breath considering lots of people with scan dates after us have had their decision

I feel exactly the same for a COC of 04/03. Keep seeing loads done after this date and keep expecting a decline due to this. Though hopefully that is not the outcome for either of us!

I’m coc, I can’t believe your a new claim still waiting for April, have they given you a reason why you’ve been waiting so long?

Just the usual "there's been a high number of claims"
I do have two claims, same date, which they marked as siblings but never been able to get a straight answer as to whether that has affected wait times

It doesn’t make sense does it, all the coc scan dates after your date received a decision around 21 weeks. It’s like they started to do 20/3 onwards to catch up and left the dates before still waiting! Hopefully you will receive some positive news soon, what award are you hoping for? To move to HRM? My daughter is currently on MRC but I’ve provided so much evidence to show she should be on HRC and HRM so just waiting to see the outcome now.

Aren’t they on to July new claims now? You still waiting from April is just ridiculous! I have read somewhere before they usually use the same dm for siblings but your wait time compared to others is a lot longer. Hopefully you get some good news soon.

Yes think there's been some late July Early August done too, the wait is frustrating! It was apparently marked "urgent" at 15 weeks, but last time I spoke to them around 20 weeks it was still waiting to be allocated to a DM

I’ve had a claim that was marked urgent in the past, some of them say they are going to do it but don’t always do it, if it was marked urgent you would have received a decision in a few days. I would just keep calling surely it can’t be much longer.

noonejoan · 15/09/2025 11:00

Me again spoke to UC on phone my statement is showing today with the Hrc plus my other son's disability so that's ok I already get carers element for my other son so that's sorted she said if need to respond by 16/9 regarding disability backpay of the Hrc to march .... On a plus my son's renewal has just Landed on my bloody door crack on with that now

LucindaJane · 15/09/2025 11:02

There's someone on the Facebook group that had a new claim SD 28/8 approved already. It's all over the place

No it doesn't make any sense at all, it just makes me think that we are going to be rejected because people around our date have had a decision. When I spoke to them last week, the man said it was not in the main queue, so should be picked up within the next 8 weeks and when I said it can't be in date order because others have had a decision, he couldn't answer. Hoping for HRM, we already get HRC and LRM, so guess it is just a waiting game. I sent in quite a lot of evidence as well

Becuaseicouldntsee · 15/09/2025 11:24

NC s/d 10th July - still nothing. Wondering if this is bad news because others around that date have been awarded. Never had any text confirming they even received it but called to check a few months back and they had. Makes me wonder if they do award then maybe they’d not text then either? So stressful!!

Well I called again, they can't tell me if it's waiting for a DM or been allocated as they apparently can't see that on the system. Apparently its being "done in date order and they no longer can give an estimate of how many weeks"... its so frustrating as they never tell you the same thing!

Mine is 4th of June. I think they just pick them at random.

I wonder if it’s because we’ve both sent in evidence for HRM? Maybe it goes to a certain DM that makes a decision for mobility and that takes longer? I’ve not been feeling very hopeful knowing the scan dates around me have had their decisions but I’m hoping it means they will be having a good look at every I’ve sent in. Im going to call tomorrow then every Tuesday after that until I receive a decision.

No they don’t, it would make this wait so much easier if they did tell us the truth about wait times and where our claims are in the queue, it would definitely save us having to keep calling up to find out. It seems half the time they are saying it’s not with a dm when it actually is, hopefully you won’t be waiting to much longer

I don't know why they're not done in order. Makes me wonder if it's going to be refused.
