Harrysmummy2016 · 12/09/2025 12:22

My SD was 19.03 for COC and I got told on Tuesday it could be another 8 weeks before I hear anything! I don't understand why they are only doing some and not others

Amazing, I hope she got the award she was hoping for. Every coc around my date has been awarded and I’m still waiting. But I know there is still some febs and March still waiting so maybe they will be finishing those off first.

They always say different things, the other lady with the April coc called and they told her she wouldn’t hear til January, she called a few days later and a decision had been made, it turns out it was with a dm when they told her she wouldn’t hear until January.

If you don’t mind me asking what was your change for, care or mobility? Always feel sick to my stomach when kids don’t get what they deserve🥺X

Yeah he is 11 and autistic. Still wears reins but apparently doesn’t hit criteria

It was to add mobility. He is high rate care. Age 11 and autistic. 24/7 supervision and needs a safety harness when out but didn’t even get low rate

Oh so sorry to hear, seems such a hard thing to get, my little one is the same but they are only 4 so I’ll deal with mobility when he’s 5, fight it if you have the right evidence, I know someone whose kids isn’t half as bad as mine and his mum admits he doesn’t have meltdowns or need support outside but he was awarded LRM but she has a support worker that filled the forms out so maybe see if you have some sort of support in your area that can help with the forms X

Wont call til we are 25 wks

I’ve just read your reply underneath, I would definitely do a MR your child should be on LRM at least. Did they change your award length or completely not change it at all?

Just a quick question if I have an advance or a debt recovery do they take UC back pay ?

They can and have in some cases took it off people, but it seems the large majority they dont take it off. If its just an advance they wont take it but if its a very large debt recovery ect then I thibk ita more likely they will

I had a £60 debt from an overpayment they made and I had a £300 advance and they didn't deduct it from mine last time, not sure if they would of if it were a larger debt opposed to overpayment and advance though xx
