Do you think the SOGs developmental assessment would show similar to an IQ test? I have that in her diagnosis report which shows she is half her age of below on everything.

Yes, it could evidence* *the severe impairment of intelligence and social functioning element of the SMI test. Although it depends on the individual case, it wouldn’t in all cases. And it doesn’t necessarily mean DWP will make the right decision.

When it was recived by them ot would of been stamped, sp even if not on the system yet they will know its been back in time

Thats good then. Thank you, gives me some piece of mind. Ive got four claims all going at once as four of my children out of my five all have disabilities. Ive done COC for oldest, MR for second daughter and two need claims as the disability worker suggested to apply for my nearly 3 year old twins too.

He was just over 3.5 years. I went into every single tiny detail about him and what hes like outside ect. I stupidly didnt go into so much detail about my daughter cause I thought the fact she cant walk wouldnt need much explaining 😂 but obviously the people dealing with the claims must be a bit dopey

You would think you would get hrm for a child that can’t walk 🙄 system is a joke! Hopefully you have better luck this time. I’ve done the same with this COC form I’ve given everything I can to prove what she is like and if it’s not enough then I haven’t got anything else to give. I’ve got paediatrician and dietician reports coming soon so that will be the last I will be sending in til the decision is made.

I always get confused with HRM, my sons been diagnosed with cerebral palsy and I am worried he won’t get the mobility element even with his struggles. I know a child who is wheelchair bound and doesn’t get mobility, but I met a woman on the park the other day who has hrm for her child for only danger awareness. So god knows how the system works it.

There are different ways you can qualify for HRM. You can see them in the document I linked to in a previous post. No-one gets HRM just for lack of danger awareness. There is far more to qualifying than that even if the parents don’t tell you.

I still cant get over it, they 100% didnt read my form or evidence properly, and if the MR comes back unchanged I think ill riot 😂 we have a few specialist appointments next week so im hoping ill have the reports back before decision is made so I can send them off to further prove everything i and all the previous evidence gas said

Hi all. Just checked my bank and there is £886.80 gone in. I posted my forms on 7/5/25 and scan date was 16/5/25. Can anybody work out the rate we have been awarded? As I can’t figure it out

£73.90 x 13 works out at £960. I didn’t get this much. I’m confused. X

It’s 12 weeks of middle rate care. You would have been awarded on Tuesday if a payment showing today, payment weeks are Tuesday to Tuesday in full week so even though your scan date is 16th payments would be from 20th

Also, can anybody give me advice on universal credit. I was supposed to be starting back at university this September. I know I can’t claim carers allowance if I’m in full time study, however I’ve seen something about carers element and premium? Does this allow me to study or not? And do these automatically get added on when I inform if about the dla? And also, what’s the benefit cap? Sorry for all the questions there’s just a lot to it.

You will have to do a change of circumstances on your UC to say your now caring and that your child is in receipt of dla. Then write in your journal asking for the elements to be backdated until start of dla award, ask for it to be sent to a decision maker with the reason of late informing is because you've only just got a decision of award. You can still study with these elements

MR 28 + 2, still waiting. I don’t see the point in ringing as we just get fobbed off. I think I’m just going to wait for either the letter or hopefully back pay to hit.
any one else still around this date for MR?

Hi, I’m 26+2. I rang on Wednesday and it’s not with a DM. I feel similar to you in that what’s the point in calling. I think I’m going to wait till week 29 and if I haven’t heard then I will call.
