Yep I’ve triple checked absolutely everything I’ve not gone wrong anywhere

Defo call and check - I’m honestly so angry and frustrated. I also had to wait for things and then just made sure I went into depth and the pages don’t have a lot of room. Nearly 4000 words 😩 I said to them how emotionally hard it is having to highlight his issues without having to do it twice !!

@PurpleNurpleGurple i have no idea. My renewal was declined 8th of January I put in for MR the 16th of Jan. I don’t know what she was on about because she was so quick and couldn’t wait to get me off the phone and end the call. She said your claim as only been with us since the 18th of July I’m thinking she ment with a decision maker I have no idea where the 42 weeks come from. When I spoke to them Monday they said I could call Tuesday or Wednesday for a decision that’s the only reason I called today.

Ahh okay.. I was just making sure you hadn't put your own national insurance number on as I've seen lots of additional evidence go missing and then they've found out it was scanned under their own national insurance number and not onto the child's claim.

That terrible that your evidence has gone missing twice 😩

Ours was received by them on 23rd April and I've just had a phone call to clarify one question (about our residential status in UK). The claim manager on the phone said a decision had been made and we'd know by a "comprehensive letter" within 5-10 working days. Obviously I don't know what the outcome will be but I am fully prepared to go for a MR if DD doesn't qualify for at least LRC.

If you call back in about 10 minutes once the case manager has updated and noted the claim and go through option 4 you can get the decision over the phone 🙂 @distinctpossibility

They have sent a message over to the people who mange the post but honestly I just feel like I’m being fobbed off

Definitely sounds like they are fobbing you off.. Did you photo copy it for yourself? If so I'd resend it today or tomorrow but just send it to the freepost address whilst they are trying to find it just incase they don't.. It won't cost you anything and at least you will know you have a back up on its way..

So finally got through to be told decision still not made I said well IV received a text to say one has been made and then said to call back next week when it's all been updated 😕

I’ve had the same with community paediatrician asking for an appointment in a few weeks times for an update. I did wonder if Dla had called them. It’s hard to get an appointment with them so an appointment in a few weeks made me wonder.

I got a phone call today, asking me about my child's night time needs. (Im sure i wrote about them on a separate piece of paper) but they asked lots of different ones and then said "sounds like they have got worse" i feel the same about it just being our daily life... and I thought id wrote it all down when I sent off.. the renewal seemed alot harder to fill in than the first form. So im not sure now how I feel about it all to be honest. All I would like is for them to get the same as the first award because I know they are entitled to it.
Also mentioned because of their age that they have to look at mobility and not to be surprised if they phone me again tomorrow.

Thought id just comment back to you because my child's is due this week. So hopefully you will hear about yours very soon. And hopefully we both get good news for our children 🤞

I’ve just submitted my appeal, I wasn’t actually going to do it but thought I don’t have anything to lose and I owe it to my son. Not feeling too good about it as it feels like everything I put in it I put in my MR anyway but time will tell I guess! Hopefully not another year long wait 🙄

I’m taking it to tribunal 100 percent once I’ve calmed down. He as recieved higher rate care and lower rate mobility his whole life. He will never be able to dress himself or go to the toliet alone, can’t and will never be able to wipe himself. His arms are half the size of normal arms. His got a stoma, the bottom of his spine missing. His had 13 operations. His care needs are so high I have and will always have to do everything for him. Lower rate care is an absolute insult. I’ve sent so much evidence, he can’t walk up stairs he as to use a lift pass at school. It’s ridiculous they obviously don’t read the supporting evidence. @DD12DD i hope everyone else as the outcomes they deserve. Good luck everyone xxxx

4/4 when I called yesterday said IV received a text saying decision has been made they basically said IV not received a message lol 😆 I said well I'm looking at it now on my phone and then they said to call next week once everything been updated as they can only see it's still with DM I'm tempted to call again this morning x

Yes 21/3 its with dm been told another 7 weeks i did say how april are being looked at but still saying another 7 weeks
