Hi everyone,

received back payment for my 3 year old son yesterday of £1995. I phoned, pressed option 4 and was told he he has been awarded high rate care. I’m over the moon for him. Our scan date was the 2nd of May.

only thing is they didn’t even look at mobility as he turned didn’t turn 3, till 2 weeks after the forms were due back. But he turned 3 way before a decision was made. Which is slightly frustrating. They’ve said they are going to send me the mobility part to fill in again. But I’m not sure if we will as I really don’t want the whole claim looked at again

Its so incredibly frustrating. We shouldnt have to fight this hard for our children especially when theres so much evidence stating their needs.

Just got off the phone to them spoke to a lady “not with a DM yet give it another week” I said NO! I was told I would hear back this week and it’s not even with a DM asked her to tell manager to call me back I want to make a complaint she said it needs to be in writing and posted which I replied Iv spoken to a team leader before so if you can ask her or someone who has more information to call me back she said okay she will put a request in for call back not sure if she did though it’s like she cba!

I’m honestly not calling anymore il just wait until they send the letter or if awarded a back payment!
So fed up with hearing the same thing over n over!

Same ill either get a text bk pay or refused apparently she's said between 7.and 10.days ill.hear s/d 21/3 getting annoyed as may being done

Coc sd 26/03. Just been on the phone and informed me 25-30 weeks wait. He also mentioned that I will receive a renewal forms soon asy current claim is about to expire in December. Is that correct? Despite me just filling out a brand new form for care and mobility in March will I still have to do renewal again? I thought that with COC they would automatically give new renewal date

Honestly they do just say anything to get you off the phone! It's ridiculous, iv seen a fair few January ones on Facebook that say finally after a 30 week wait so im guessing we've got another couple of weeks to go yet 😔 I dont think il bother ringing back either, I get the feeling it will be a decline again after all this waiting im going to be fuming

I feel like I’ve been waiting a life time and I only sent my forms 7th May so god knows how everybody else is feeling.

I’m so frustrated with this now it’s like they’ve stopped doing COCs for the moment haven’t seen any since beginning of last week and they were end of February/ March I rang the other day because in the last 3 years I’ve only received one letter so I wanted them to note to text me with the decision, I was also told my COC isn’t with anyone yet and I could be several months before it’s even looked at, still don’t know my scan date I sent the information off on 14th Feb and not heard anything since, I understand loads of people are ringing etc they should create a system online so we can keep track then it would make everyone’s life’s easier instead of being so rude to us 🤷🏽‍♀️

I do think 30 weeks is fairly extreme hopefully ours won’t go that long. I’ve seen most done between 25-28 weeks recently so hopefully in that bracket !

Hopefully but I mean this is week 28 now and still not with anyone so I just cant see it being in the next week, its crazy waiting a year for a decision in total!

There was someone that posted a thread about their COC being 31 weeks and that they haven’t heard anything yet, I told them to call to see if a decision has been made but they haven’t updated their thread of if they have or not yet.

There’s a couple in FB comments who have been awarded from 19th and 22nd Jan so maybe we might start hearing back this or next week… 🤔

I spoke to a lovely lady this afternoon who has told me that my

DD with a scan date of 13th May has been awarded HRC until 2027 no mobility as she's only 4 with a back payment due of £1656

And

DD with a SD of 15th May has been awarded HRC and LRM until 2031!! With a back payment due of £2090

I'm so happy for my girls I could cry it's going to help them so much.

Also my other DD has a scan date of 13th June I'm hoping she will also get awarded when it's her turn as it would help her so much also

I wonder why yours is taking so long, have they asked you to send in anything extra since you sent in your childs claim? Or claiming for high rate mobility? Sometimes that makes it abit longer?
