Have any may new claims been done yet? My SD is 19th May I phoned for forms on 14th April. I sent 2x Speech and Language reports, ASD assessment referral acception letter, medications for toileting, medications for sleep, aids and adaptations list, sleep diary, day diary, sensory difficulties list, IEP, and various consultation notes from DRs. DD is 5, do you think we have a chance? Hate the thought of possibly having to do a MR.

Im.waiting on march

We should no way have to chase like we are & I’ve seen someone people get told a decision has been made and still not told what it is after the longest wait!
I just keep hoping everyday for a text message from them.

Haze87 · 06/08/2025 09:47

I’m just wondering if there’s a complaints contact for DLA we can contact to speed things up.

I’ve just looked online and we can raise a complaint with them and it needs to be opened and dealt with and given a response I think I might call and do that today 😂

s39 · 06/08/2025 10:02

I think I’m going to call them this afternoon check for an update and if nothing think this will have to be next step

Bossingit67 · 06/08/2025 10:40

How often to people call for an update ? I know when I first applied I couldn’t help calling but have held off this time (MR) and only called once and part of that was to check they had received some additional evidence. I’m tempted to call today (it’s 25 weeks tomorrow)

Bossingit67 · 06/08/2025 10:52

Just called … so impatient ! No update and not with a DM :(

Yes… the lady was nice enough but quite insistent that I didn’t need to call again :p

Curlycookie5 · 06/08/2025 11:23

There doesn’t seem to be many awards this last couple of weeks 🤔 and the wait times seem to be increasing again, I wonder if some DMs have taken time off for the school holidays?

itsonlyjoan · 06/08/2025 11:29

WaryPoet · 06/08/2025 11:38

If DLA text to say theyve received the form, can I then take this as the S/D? Have not yet received the letter

Haze87 · 06/08/2025 11:53

Just seen this on FB:

Positive MR

Finally!! After 30 weeks exactly from the MR date- 7/1/25, my boy has been awarded what he deserves!

I got a phone call this afternoon from a lovely lady who called to check my bank details the same, as she had awarded the HRM under SMI as (he was initially given LRM). She only asked if the name of my bank was the same - I didn't need to give any further details or anything.

She's also lengthened his award from 5yrs to 11years! Thats up until his 17 birthday- so I won't have to go through this horrible process again with DLA. It'll be PIP by that stage. 💙

Oilytoe90 · 06/08/2025 12:08

I feel the same, last thing I want to do is a tribunal after all this wait, getting all the information etc, it’s a joke honestly
