It's so annoying isn't it ,IV seen FB posts saying about how quick pip is and UC enquiries are being done quick so I can't see why DLA are so long

Apparently pip are taking up to a year for renewals I’m going through mine atm and then my child’s claim for dla it’s a nightmare

Tbh I have already told myself there taking it off me as it was a 6 year fight to get it in the first place and I have told myself my little one will be declined like I did with my daughters so I’m prepared for the worst

Hi. I sent my forms off on the 7/5/25. Scan date 16/05/25. Received a letter saying 15 week but when I rang to give more information she said 20-25 weeks. Has anybody heard earlier than this? I know it’s not been that long and I don’t want to ring. X

It’s looking like new claims wait time is getting less the person below your message received back pay by week 14 so the decision would have been made at 13 weeks

I have received a payment in my account over the last couple of days. Forms received 23rd April. Spoke to DM last week to confirm a detail I'd missed off (23rd July I think) and was told decision had been made. No letter received yet but I think the right decision has been made based on the amount I was awarded. Very relieved.

Hi. When did you post your forms off? X

What’s everyone else’s send off form dates for COC both mobility and care? I never got a scan date so I can’t even go off that, I’m hoping to hear back end of September, mine was 14/2

Gemzb · 30/07/2025 13:20

MR 22/01. 27 weeks

Just called to see if they recieved the extra evidence sent in June, they can't find if so gave them the tracking number. Not even with a case manager yet

I sent mine off 7/4 and my scan date is 8/4, I sent mine signed for next day delivery, how did you send yours? It may be worth calling to check your scan date? I’ve received 2 letters since I sent mine off.

I sent it signed for, I’ve rang them and they have got it they just can’t tell me anything else apparently, they just said not to ring back and it will be done when it’s done and it should be about 28 weeks because they are still doing the forms from December😅 I was like okay, but I have seen other people have their COC done from march

Asdmummyhere · 30/07/2025 13:45

how long does everyone wait until calling to see if extra evidence has been scanned? Received yesterday, claim runs out on Tuesday. Don’t know if I should call today or not

Yes a lady has just called me back now I was shocked it was so quick I thought I was being fobbed off this morning so she said she has put it to the top the pile and DM will pick it up by the end of the day?? And also said DMs are working overtime this weekend so will catch up with the backlogs I don’t know how much of it is true but said I should have a decision by Monday 🤔🤞🏼

This is good!! Fingers crossed for you hun

il try call Friday and see if they can do the same x

My scan date for COC is 15/1. 28 weeks today!! I rang up last week and was told it could take 7/8 months.

Scaffwife · 30/07/2025 14:02

I’m 14 weeks in to MR called today to confirm they had recieved extra evidence which they have when I queried wait times I got told they are no longer giving a time frame 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

I honestly don’t think they will tell us much until a decision has been made, they all say different things all the time just to get us off the phone. Your scan date would be the date they signed to say they received it. I bank with Monzo so if they make the decision and higher my daughters award it will show as pending the day after. I’m hoping I won’t have to call, its so hard to call for that length of time while trying to care for my daughter:

Will you be calling this week? Surely they must have a decision soon there doesn’t seem to be many coc that go much over 28 weeks. Is your coc for care and mobility or just mobility?

Ljh1993 · 30/07/2025 14:29

I did coc for care but also filled in for mobility as LO will be 5 in September so they have all the info. I might call in a bit

Does anybody think that area has something to do with wait times? Where is everyone based? I’m in Merseyside?

Northern ireland is quicker than the rest of the UK as they have a separate benefits office who deals with all their benefit claims. I think the rest of the uk no matter where you are it wouldnt matter as it all goes to the same office

Oh does it? I didn’t know that the whole of the UK went to the same office 🤦🏼‍♀️ha. Feel daft now. But I was just trying to make light of the situation haha x

That’s what I thought. When did you send your forms? Was they for a new claim? X
