Yeah I know the feeling, we saw another professional today who said she has never came across my sons disease before, never even heard of it let alone meet someone with it but trying to talk to her and explain how it affects him was a nightmare, it almost seemed as though she was questioning how he would be in pain but then would say “I don’t know anything about the disease so don’t know how it affects people.” I feel like a lot of people aren’t aware of it or how it really affects someone with it which is maybe what is dragging my son’s case out. I think I listed about 12 or so professionals involved with my little one so maybe they’re ringing around trying to get several opinions and I just feel like we’re going to be declined again or it’s really going to drag out now 😔

Its always baffled me how someone can make a decision on a child they have never met. I know with pip face to face assessments happen. Surely it should be on the evidence of a professional within that field. You'd like to think they take it into consideration. I hope you and your little one are one step closer to a decision this week x

Still here lurking MR hit 25 weeks today on Friday wasn’t with a dm wasn’t surprised but they did finally scan in my extra evidence.
I am not ringing until the end of the week as I know from these they still aren’t near my date! 13/01 for MR and my original scan date was 16/08/24

MR week 28 here, I couldn’t bear to ring today for an update. The wait is so awful

It’s really is! My MR will be 28wks on Friday but have seen a few close to my date so hopefully we hear soon 🤞🏻

Hello there. DD 13 has been receiving DLA HRC since 2020. During the recent renewal they lowered her care rate to medium, despite her condition getting worse. There is plenty of evidence and I am sending for mandatory reconsideration. My question is - how long does it take these days for MR? Many thanks x

It’s just unbelievable! For them to also not even read them properly it’s just such a flawed system x

Easy 25+ weeks so if you do an MR now you’d be lucky to hear back before christmas

Tuesdays are normally a good day for awards fingers crossed 🤞🏼

kept seeing awards around my scan date so decided to call, decision made today! MRC and LRM until March 27
so happy for my daughter this will help her so much

my SD (NC) was 27/3 which is 15 weeks on Thursday. Is it worth calling yet to check or should I just wait? Getting nervous as I’m worried will be declined….

There’s no harm in calling but I would give it until Thursday as they will say your still 14 weeks if you call today

called for an update on friday, and was told it was sent to case manager 27/07.
i’ve heard nothing since, can it be with them for a while, or does that mean it’s likely a decline?
