My 2 sons have very poor sleep, for which I get hrc, i wasnt required to send any evidence for this only stated that they have phenergan which often doesn’t work. Also poor school attendance due to not sleeping and when in school sometimes fall asleep. So I’d say what she has is sufficient enough.

Dla is becoming very strict. Having senco say they miss school because it claims he doesnt sleep likely wouldnt cut it on its own. Especially because a senco cannot actually evidence that. That's why they look for melatonin prescription, referrals to sleep clinics or some sort of sleep issues detailed on paediatrician reports ect.

My son is on melatonin, doesn’t sleep til early hours of the morning, in and out of his room, I end up having to lay with him to get him to sleep. I sent in sleep clinic report, sleep diary’s for the sleep clinic and proof of his melatonin prescription and he got renewed at middle rate care again so I’m not sure what they are looking for to change it to high rate care.

I think it depends who’s desk it lands on I’ve seen people send minimal evidence and get it and people have sent loads of evidence and have not got it it’s luck of the straw in my eyes x

I would do an MR and if they still dont change it bring them to tribunal. My daughter is profoundly disabled has complex needs, needs 24/7 care and attention, cannot walk, talk or communicate at all and she was only given middle rate care no mobility. Its absolutely shocking of a system that really does need overhauled as its not fit for purpose.

And in fact i know they dont read half the evidence they get given because when my older childs award was randomly audited they told me that evidence was looked over and thats why he didnt get the proper award he was entitled to! Thankfully It was changed and backdated for him but so many dont have the fight in them and they know and exploit that and thats why they gove lower awards
