It is so annoying I could literally scream down the phone to them x

I get the complete frustration but they are still just getting into March, there's loads from February waiting. I still have afew weeks with mine as their 19/3 and 26/3. Just wish they would tell the truth on the phone rather than rush people off when it's their job to literally answer calls and check claims 🤣

Yea i get it, but They told me last week I was with a DM and the following day onwards I'm still being allocated. They make it up as they go along

No that will just be standard letter, you need a statement of reasons from the dm why they refused.

then you can bullet point the reasons why they are wrong and then cross reference on reports etc why they made the wrong decision xx

I just phoned them up and told them I wanted an MR and why I didnt agree with the rates that was given

Lcd93 · 18/06/2025 18:34

For those still waiting for a decision when I first applied for dla for my daughter in 2023 the wait time back then was 20 weeks I rang up at 17 weeks on a friday night and told them I was in financial hard ship by the Monday morning I was told a decision was made the following morning on a Saturday (yes they do work weekends to catch up) and I was told case loads are in random piles and they're put on the decision makers desks thats why some people may be getting a decision before others as they don't work in date order. I know people also reached out to there local MP and recieved a decision a few days later . Hope this helps for the people still waiting.

You dont have to wait for the letter. You can request a statement of reasons which will ne detailed on why exactly your child was declined but they can read this out over the phone
