hi all my claim was awarded on 03/06 (this I did not know until I called on 04/6) called Monday 02/6 and was told it still hasn’t been picked up by a decision maker and it’s taking 25 weeks, I came on here on 04/6 and saw some beginning of March and end of Feb awards so thought i would call, I was told a decision was made on 3/6 and my son was awarded, so Monday nothing in a holding que to the next day a decision made - 15 weeks & 1 day all in all i waited

NC SD 22/1
called again today and I finally have CRxx reference number
( I had a clerical CLxxx number before, and they were still waiting for the information I sent in February … and never went through the filled DBD264, which had the details they asked for…. Sent in FEB!! Sigh)
I should have called a week after sending the form without assuming they would check the content.

Not yet with a decision maker.

I feel deflated. No. Flat!

@OneSparklyFawn i had a phone call about 3 weeks ago off a DM they ask me questions said about with my daughter being under 5 she will not receive mobility IF I was awarded so if I appealed it that would be the reason .
He said he would make his decision by end of day,
called a day later and they needed her birth certificate.
I sent that off nearly 3 weeks ago and heard nothing since .
rang every other day to see if they had it they just keep saying no and call back

Oh how frustarting it's taking so long you'd think they'd of done it by now I have my fingers crossed for you 🤞 xx

U 2 hun.. have u heard anything .. was you the same csna date as mine x

I caved and telephoned on the because I sent in extra evidence at the start of the week and wanted to make sure it had been added to our records.

As it happens a decision has been made.

Anyway my point is hopefully this means you will be very very soon. Good luck.

Circlesroundandround · 06/06/2025 15:56

our update.

Forms received on 19th Jan. Decision today so just over 15 weeks.

MRC which is fair but nothing for mobility. The mobility baffles me a bit as it’s a physical condition that my daughter has. Is a wheelchair user issued by the NHS. Blue badge holder and several reports sent in from the hospital stating that her walking is very limited owing to medical condition.

I wasn’t expecting high but no mobility at all is surprising. I’m thinking maybe they didn’t read everything but then the care element I would have said is spot on.

confused!

Kirsty19922025 · 06/06/2025 16:02

Congratulations to everyone that’s been awarded ❤️

Boymama831 · 06/06/2025 16:09

My MR says decision made but they can’t tell me anything other than that apparently 🥴 assume that means bad news 😢

Sarahloo88 · 06/06/2025 16:13

Hi all
Can someone explain to me before I call and make a fool of myself.

Called for forms on 6th Jan, returned on 22nd Feb, they needed to be received by 24th Feb, so they were returned within the allotted 6 weeks.

Letter confirming award today but my son has been awarded from 22nd Feb and not 6th Jan when I originally called for the forms. Does the award date usually go from when they received the forms? As I was under the impression that as long as you return them within the 6 weeks, by the date stamped on your form, your award gets backdated?

Gemini000 · 06/06/2025 16:15

Congratulations all.. mine went with DM maker today.. hopefully not to long .. Good luck all💕

I’ve just gone through my phone calls and I actually requested the forms on 13th January not the 6th! So was definitely due back by the 24th Feb. I posted it Friday 21st and it was received and scanned on Saturday 22nd Feb. Would it normally be back dated?

It might be the dates are slightly out. Our forms where dated 9th Jan and had to be back 19th Feb. So maybe your were a few days out returning them so no backdated pay perhaps.

Does anyone know if I can call and ask if it can be backdated to 13th January, and they just look at call records and see that’s when I called and requested the forms, or would I have to go through the whole MR process? I don’t really want to do that for the sake of 6 weeks, but at the same time 6 weeks of HRC and the Disabled Child Element isn’t a small amount either.

Needsleepneedcoffee · 06/06/2025 17:18

I called today, I sent in my sons Autism assessment report past week, I also asked when our claim would be looked at because I've seen lots of dates after ours.

I was told its all untrue, they have strict guidelines to stick to on who is assessed first... so apparently everyone else is lying.
