So they actually made the decision today 12/5 so do I put that and then in my journal say I would like child disability element and carers element backdated to 7/3 sorry only just been awarded from DLA

Heyyy!!! Its crazy how long it takes isn't it, when we first got awarded 2 years ago uc was sorted and Backdated paid within the week! Completely different now!! Have you received your letter from dla yet?x

No I've not received ours yet, I did get a letter today about being my sons "representative" for dla cos he's under 16 but that's all, hopefully tomorrow!!

Random question😂 is your payment dates just continuing 4 weeks from your last payment before award or have they changed, if that makes sense🤦‍♀️x

Yes they are just continuing as normally do, however my renewal was due to end 9th as your aware but that was when the DLA was due to go in anyway, so it's just carrying on 4 weekly from as it was , I will say though we've been awarded the new rate from feb 2025 to June 2030 so they've not done it until Feb 2030 but to June. X

Called again today after the line getting cut during a conversation yesterday, I did not have any energy to call back after 50 mins on hold.
Lady on the phone said decision was made and accessed something else to tell me details.
She was given HRM and MRC till she is 18.

I don’t know how I feel.

I will upgrade her Trek to be auto and take her to beach, and to the hills, to farms, festivals and anywhere she wants to go.

Ah right okay! Thank you for letting me know! My last payment was 27th may so I was unsure if it would continue from that or be 4 weeks from award date! And wow really! That's amazing! We was only awarded for 2 years which I'm assuming is because my son isn't fully diagnosed yet we've been on waiting list for asd adhd since December 2023 and wait times in our area are just over 2 years so we should hopefully have full diagnosis by time I have to do renewal again! Our award was February till February 2027! X

I updated on the 6th when I found out my son had been awarded and still not even verified mine. Seems they are in no rush when they owe money to us, but if it was the other way round they would be hounding us.

So please for you. She deserves all of it x

I called Tuesday Morning. I got told my claim hasn't been looked at yet and is likely to be end of July/beginning of August before I get a decision. And that claims are taking up to 25 weeks. That makes us 15 weeks today. Hopefully not much longer! I was on hold for over an hour to be told that useless info 😩have you rang at all? X

So case manager looking at our case, wanted to make a decision today but school SEN teacher isn’t in😴. It’s looking at next week, so frustrating!

So I phoned back up spoke to a man, he was nice and he also said it's not with a dm and that he's sorry I were given false information to call back in July as should be with one then as my 25 week would be end of August 🙄🙄🙄 I'm so frustrated

I’m so confused I’m seeing others children have been verified altogether but my daughter who gets dla hasn’t been verified only the ones without is this normal ?

I know it’s been awful and phoning up doesn’t help at all as they all tell you different things! I thought when they said mine was with a decision maker at 16 weeks it would be quick after that but still waiting 20 weeks and counting

I rang last Friday and was told the same as you. I’m currently on hold at the mo, just to see if anything has progressed since last week. I doubt it has, but here’s hoping lol
