Hey!! No I've not heard yet, I phoned on 30th and was told it was with a case manager and should have a decision sometime next week, going to phone up on Wednesday and see if there's any updates. In feb/March it was 3 weeks before people were getting decisions but recently it's literally been days before, there is someone on here who's due to run out without yesterday or Monday and they've not heard anything?
Good luck with your renewal!
When did you send your forms back? My scan date is 28.02
Also my first renewal

Edited

Let me know when you get an update x x x

Yes I’ve found this with my other child’s- you know when you apply for multiple children does it go to same decision maker that done there claim.

has when I 1st applied they said cause I’ve got other child on Dla it will, I don’t know if they was talking crap tho

I haven’t ever been told that but it would help if it did so they could get a better look at your family situation as a whole. I’ve recently sent my sons renewal and my daughters COC forms and my sons renewal was done really early and I’m not sure why because it wasn’t due to run out til July, I did wonder if they they look at siblings awards while making there decision?

MrsBoo8888 · 02/06/2025 12:34

My sister just called as I told her of all the feb dates getting awarded, hers is NC 06/02, she got MRC on the 29/5 and payment will go in tomorrow. Award took 16 weeks

Hi have you called for an update xx

Hi, I have but nothing came out from them. After reading posts here, I am scared ( :D) to ask when would it be done, so have always asked if the information I have sent was received. Last time I called, there was a note on the application about missing information, but I had already sent it. I just told where in the form I have entered those details. I will call this week too.
How about you? Xx

Liya1xx · 02/06/2025 14:18

Called DLA, took 25 minutes to get through, I spoke to a case manager.
there still on dates 20/11, they also said they don’t work through MR on weekends so this could also be why new claims are a lot quicker x

Mummyof4children · 02/06/2025 14:22

Gosh job centre are crap they are quick enough to send u commitments but when u ask for help with the change of circumstances they ain’t alound 😂 seriously

Interesting, I wasn't sure if they worked weekends. I know you can't get through, but maybe because there's thousands of claims coming through, they need more people at their desks on weekends.
I also was told decision makers only work on Tuesdays. Which I thought itself was bizzare

Mummyof4children · 02/06/2025 14:30

can I ask if I just put on caring for someone on my uc will that turn off work commitments or do I have to claim carrers allowance ?

There’s so many things flying around I don’t think anyone knows what’s real or fake news anymore😩 I’ve exceeded 26 weeks now and wanted to speak to someone that knows what there talking about I thought I’d get all the questions in and she said they definitely do not deal with MR on the weekends but the ones that are dealing with the new claims some are working on the weekends. the MR is a completely different department that’s why there still stuck on 20/11 and there doing it in date order which is only fair x

So I don’t have to claim carrers allowance then?

Mum2allgirls · 02/06/2025 14:42

@Mummyof4children no you don't have to claim carer's allowance, you can just claim the care and disability element on UC. Obviously if you claim carer's allowance anyways they take pound4pound off UC.

AsaG7 · 02/06/2025 14:51

NC SD 22/1
i called today and it’s good I did. The information I sent previously has not been noted :(.

I have figured following ( which might not be 100% correct as no one told me these)

*if your reference is a ‘CLxxxx’ number this means it’s still in clerical work. Meaning ( I guess) that the form is not with a decision maker but someone in DLA is working out if you are eligible. For example, ( I guess) check who else lives in the address, what benefits they get, any other claims for this address, other parent guardian details living elsewhere and their benefits, if DC’s birth certificate can be found in their system etc.

*if your reference is a ‘CRNxxxx’ number, it (I assume would) indicate the eligibility has passed and it’s with a decision maker. They are evaluating the rate the child should be getting and requesting details regarding this decision. For example, contacting school, surgery etc.

If anyone can add to this, or do not agree, please comment. I hope this will at least help us understand where in the process our claims are.

But will that take the work commitment off tho as I’m on the restart schemes will that make that end as well ? I’m not sure

Mum2allgirls · 02/06/2025 15:00

@Mummyof4children yeah it will turn your work commitments off

Any MR called up today? I’m 03/12 and currently at 26 weeks tomorrow. Do we know what date they are currently working on?

I got a decision Thursday night. MR SD 15/11 so they must be around that date. Didn't get a call or text, money just showed as pending in my account. Letter arrived this morning.

Hi all just thought I would give you an update. Basically my little one got rewarded for another two years for the same rates that he was previously on. He’s claim ended on Saturday and I got the decision about 20 minutes ago. I need help what are people to use on me getting MMR done because he only got for two years But really I’ve got a lot more evidence now since been diagnosed with autism and that and I just feel like two years it’s not long enough for the claim. What’s everyone’s thoughts on that?Xx

MelTom88 · 02/06/2025 15:25

Senmummy1234 · 02/06/2025 10:34

Good luck keep on at them! My sons run out yesterday, I went through to another department and they said they are aware the claim has ended and are working hard and I double hear soon! Didn’t say when or how long 🙈

Nope she said very little and what little she did say contradicted itself.
The system is broken and needs an overhaul. The DLA received makes a difference to the likes of Universal Credit etc. We shouldn’t be left in limbo.

I bet if it was the other way around and claimants were leaving them 25 weeks for something due to them they would not be ok with it. Just another thing to chase up and factor into care needs, appointments, child care, making sure meds are ordered etc.

I think 2 year awards are pretty common now a days but don't hold me to that, only from what I've seen, I'm awaiting renewal as I've said in previous posts on here, my child originally got awarded 4 years for Austism this was before he got his ECHP, now he's got his ECHP on his renewal claim and a ton of other supporting evidence. Just wondering did you give in your renewal pack on time or did you go past the deadline? I'm just curious as to why they let it completely run out before looking, may just be they are just very very busy though I guess. Congrats on being re awarded x

The fight is over for you! Happy for you and your family! It’s so slowwww but trying to be patient! Just hope it gets accepted and not have to go tribunal because I dunno if I have it in me to go all the way!

I feel like 2 years is not long enough! The annoying thing is I see alit of tribunal cases getting awarded to 2031 & 2032 I even seen one that was awarded for 8 years. Obviously the tribunal route is long winded but I feel they are the only ones giving long awards. Everyone else is like 2 years

The reference number is your child’s national insurance number, I think it the CL reference number when they don’t know your child’s national insurance number and sometimes ask for your child’s birth certificate, it’s been mentioned on a thread a few years ago that people that don’t claim child benefits there children don’t normally have a national insurance number yet so it goes to CL
