Hi all just a quick question if anyone can help have received an annual statement does everyone receive these ? Only my sons dla runs out on Tuesday and I put a renwal form in months ago and haven't here nothing about it and on the annual its just saying the dates it started and ended so am a bit stressed at the min can anyone help me please thanks x

When is the renewal date (edit: I mean is it tomorrow or next Tuesday)? I would suggest calling them and asking what's happening!

Yes I am going to tomorrow well its my husband that has to phone yes it's Tuesday the 16th

I did receive a letter the other week saying that there looking at it so just don't know I will get him to phone tomorrow see what's happening just didn't now if they were behind and had a back log on them thanks anyway hun x

Renewals are supposed to be done before the end date , atleast that's what I've been told, I would assume it has been done but you just haven't received a letter yet!

Makes me less optimistic that mine has been done as claim is due to end 4th May ha

Surely it should have been done by now there is other renewals with dates past yours that’s been done recently

I've learnt in life bugging and pestering gets you somewhere. Sitting patiently gets you nothing. Sad but true

What’s everyone using for evidence for DLA? As I don’t want to carry around the letters all time. LO is too young for the card as under 5 for the ones I found

When sending extra evidence what should I write on a cover letter ?
I haven't recieved a letter so I have no refrence or anything.

I was wondering this too. Figured out I should send them the original evidence from first claim as I sent renewal back too late. Following for an answer 🙂

I’ve alway put child’s full name, date of birth and there reference at the top of each extra paper. If you don’t have the reference yet maybe put your address aswell to help identify your claim but either way you will have plenty of time to send in extra evidence even once you’ve received your acknowledgement letter with reference on it so I would worry to much about rushing to send it

I did mine a couple of days ago and not had a reply it’s vary hit and miss but I also don’t have a work coach so that could effect it

NC SD 12/12 - got a text yesterday to say he was awarded and I've just called up for rates. He is receiving HRC!

oh no! I was routing for you today to get a decision! There goes the 3 week before theory, it must be after the last payment it gets sent to the DM then?

Possibly, last payment was today, with the bank holidays coming up I'll probably call again next Tuesday or Wednesday.

It's frustrating, just want to know at this point.

What evidence did you send may I ask? My son is 3 in June and he is also suspected asd so would be great to know if you don’t mind. Congrats on the award!

I sent ASQ reports, HV statement, playgroup statement, sleep clinic referral, ASD referral, SALT report, OT report, sleep diary, portage statement, notification to LA of additional needs, and a few extra pages of information detailing each part of our daily care and support and why it is needed - relating it back to his suspected ASD xx

He was awarded til his 5th birthday which is longer than I thought as well!

Will you be able to wait a whole week? It’s so frustrating this wait but hopefully they will look at your renewal in detail with all the evidence you’ve sent them. There seems to be a lot of renewals on this thread at the moment but I think yours is the closest date to be done.

Probably not, but with it being half term still it's so much stress!
