Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

No I haven’t, I’ve still got more evidence to send in! Oh gosh I better ring and tell them!

@Nads2210 congratulations.

I'm still waiting on my letter (requested forms 9/10 and posted 15/10) but money is in my bank. I think I've been given MRC/LM. 22 week wait.

I'm surprised I got mobility to be honest, my other child has much greater needs and it was a fight for mobility. They are close in age.

Thank you x
& congrats to you too! x

Nads2210 · 12/03/2025 14:30

@candywoo thank you & yes that does help I've put a note on journal as I was confused on the question do i receive carers as i dont right now but i have applied for it, I have asked for them to advise me on next steps & told them i'm only now letting them as decision took a few months x

Josie163 · 12/03/2025 14:33

My scan date is 01/11/24. This morning, I spoke with a kind lady who told me: ‘Good news, your daughter’s application is with a case manager! You will receive a message with the details of your decision!’

I’m not sure if it was a script or a real update🤞😂

How long after it goes to a case manager do we get a response?

I am fed up of waiting SD 15.10. Was with a DM on Friday but who knows :(

have you rang for a update?

candywoo · 12/03/2025 15:04

It took 30 minutes today after submitting a change on UC to getting verified and receiving a letter to say amount owed. That's got to be a record 😂

Kizzy0204 · 12/03/2025 14:39

I rang last Friday, they said it won't be long and is with DM. But still nothing yet. I can only ring on Friday mornings as that is the only time I am not at work until later. It is just so odd to be waiting so long when November are being seen to. I know it depends on whose desk it lands on but I can't find anyone else who seems to be waiting as long 😂

That's amazing!👏🏼
I am waiting for any kind of acknowledgement yet lol I just want all this to be done with so can finally relax from applications & the waiting around
Ofcourse I still have ongoing apps for DD but my goodness the award will help in so many ways ✨

candywoo · 12/03/2025 15:46

@Nads2210 it's so draining isn't it 😮‍💨

Hopefully not too much longer for you 😊

Hi hoping somone can help,
New claim awarded 27/02/2025
Mandatory reconsideration 10/03/2025
Sent back to original decision maker, as looks as though they have missed evidence sent.
Does anyone know if this will be the same 25 week wait or will it be quicker with being sent back to original decision maker.
Thanks x

If they are looking at it as late evidence it should be quicker and if they refuse still you can then put in for an MR

ck1708 · 12/03/2025 16:21

@Selblockh Thank You! Not a lot to be honest. I sent the autism referral letter in, My Portage worker does weekly visits in my little girls nursery and has put a support plan & movement program in place which I sent a copy of and a letter from myself. I hope this helps and you aren't waiting too much longer 😊

Same scan date as me. I rang a week ago Friday at 17 weeks and wasn't looked at yet, going to wait till Friday when it's 19 weeks and call again for an update 🤞
Hopefully you hear something soon but I don't think a case manager is the same as a decision maker, I think case managers review the forms to check all the relevant information is there and that its all in order and than after that it goes to a decision maker?

KH94 · 12/03/2025 16:25

Hi!

I'm just sorting out our UC payment... When we enter the date that we started to care for the child awarded DLA, do we enter the award date (last week), scan date (29.10) or from when our claim was backdated to (2.10)

Thank you! x

ck1708 · 12/03/2025 16:27

Hi I am just wondering if anyone can help me with the Universal Credit side. I messaged my work coach on my journal he said I need to Report the change under the date that my child was awarded DLA. I've not actually received the letter yet so do I need to wait until I have? or will it be the date I received payment? He also said if I need it backdating then you need to provide the information why it has been reported late.

thanks

Missymoo1994 · 12/03/2025 16:29

Hiya not sure just got told they was sending it back to the original decision maker to be looked at again x
