Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

Don’t stop fighting I almost gave up. If it’s cares needs write a diary of how many times you have to ask them to do stuff and how often you have to help them over a week & send it to them x

I sent in a diary of how many times I had to ask my son to brush his teeth, shower, school notes saying lacks focus and his waiting list letter for adhd/autism referral

Hey I am currently waiting on a tribunal date- anyone recently had theirs? Was is successful? And how long did you wait for your date?

NC scan date 31/10. Awarded yesterday HRC for my 3 year old with behavioural issues. Had ASD assessment and absolutely thrived with no signs of autism but can be manic within nursery and new settings. so not all children need a diagnosis. hope this helps people apply without diagnosis :)

also for people doing renewals, my other sons renewal that I sent back 3 weeks ago and due to end in June is already with DM so it seems they’re priority over anything.

Thank you ☺️ it was a MR for 21/09 but my original scan date was may 2024. Backdated from when I called for the forms x

still none the wiser for my son.. SD 29/10.. seeing loads of people after my date awarded now 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

I called on Monday they said it'll be another couple of weeks  i called just now and he said he's surprised i haven't had a decision yet and that he will message the decision maker to make a decision asap. Hopefully by today or the end of the week. 🤞🏻

Same date as me and we still haven't heard anything either! I called a week ago today and they said it wasn't with a DM yet but in the top holding queue so fingers crossed we will hear in the next few days x

Me too. I did send loads of evidence as he's not diagnosed yet so wanted to make sure I sent everything I could. So I'm hoping it's just taking them ages to go through it all 😂we were also 3 months late returning the forms, so I'm thinking maybe that's delaying it as well if they're having to consider our reasons for being so late. But I'm not expecting it to be backdated to when we called, just the scan date would be fab if they would just hurry up lol

SD 19/11 called for the first time today as got more evidence to send. Not yet with DM x

yeah they said it’s with a DM just annoying when you see people with a later scan date awarded and your still waiting

I am fed up of waiting SD 15.10. Was with a DM on Friday but who knows :(

SD for MR 14/11
called today I knows it’s only been 16 weeks but thought worth a try as my original claim only took 16 was told is with a case manager but still could take up to 25 weeks being the 8th of may. Good luck to everyone waiting!!

Sent back to original decision maker, as looks as though they have missed evidence sent.
Does anyone know if this will be the same 25 week wait or will it be quicker with being sent back to original decision maker.

Just called & was told my DD 3 years old has been awarded HRM & MRC till Sept 2027

Very in depth statement from my sister

Diagnosis:Amniotic band symndrome affecting (absent) left foot & both hands (underdeveloped fingers)

I am so grateful & the lady on the phone sounded like she was about to give me bad news!

Thank you all for this space & a huge thank you to @PositivityRipples i clung to your input from last thread so was prepared to continue the fight if this wasn't the outcome x

I'm still waiting on my letter (requested forms 9/10 and posted 15/10) but money is in my bank. I think I've been given MRC/LM. 22 week wait.

I'm surprised I got mobility to be honest, my other child has much greater needs and it was a fight for mobility. They are close in age.

Mines the sane date I think I rang this morning and it's with case manager x
