Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

MR S/D 14/11

18 weeks today called last week told with a case manager could take another 6 weeks. Tempted to call again but the anxiety of them being like “you again” 🤣🤣🤷🏻‍♀️

I sent quite a lot, was worried it was too much and they wouldn't have time to read it. I guess it just depends on which dm you get. So I sent:
Supporting letter from grandparents. Supporting letter from GP.
Physiotherapy Report.
Email from 0-19 nurse practitioner.
Supporting letter from Holiday club.
Supporting letter from Koala family support charity.
Clinical review acceptance letter from community Paediatrics team.
Individual Behaviour Plan.
Final EHCP.
Educational Psychologists Report.
Speech and Language (SALT) Report.
Movement assessment battery for children.
0-19 referral form.
Educational psychologists referral form.
EHCP request.
As well as pages of me writing about my childs needs and giving extra info on pretty much all of the care needs questions.

My sons claim is due to end on the 3rd May, we have unfortunately been a little slow gathering new evidence and reports for his renewal claim, finally sent back today.

I've read that renewals are still quite long and will likely not be seen before his end date, what will happen in this situation, will my claim be stopped until the renewal is looked at?

We are hoping to move his claim from medium, low to high, high so will this take longer?

Mines mr scan date 7-11 I don't think they can see when you've rang or I'd be embarrassed amount of times I've rang them to.het the same sentences lol x

I was wondering do they know how many times you ring up really starting to worry as seeing people around my date being awarded. Only last 3 weeks seem to have dragged and really don't want to wait another 7 lol

I’m so sorry hun, I’m sure they just can’t be bothered to go through all the evidence. I’m going to apply again whilst waiting for appeal as appeals are taking 12-18mths.
hopefully it gets looked at properly this time x

My MR is 01/11
I ring and say can you see if a decision is made before I send more evidence lol
but I can’t do that anymore as I have no more evidence to be sent
but she did say last time I rang it may not be taken in to account as may be done before they get it
so don’t know what that ment

It certainly has. Hopefully next couple of weeks. I phoned yesterday because I sent extra evidence last week but Royal Mail app hadn’t updated so I wanted to check it actually arrived. Fortunately it had. But she gave me an update and wasn’t with dm at that point so the wait continues xx

It's been with a decision maker since last Wednesday I think it's literally gonna be bang on 25 weeks ...praying it gets overturned because tribunal is another year wait x

honestly I’m waiting for the next call handler to be like “didn’t I talk to you last week?” Yes it’s with a case manager… yeah cool can you maybe push him along a bit I’m impatient. 🤣

Well mine has so say been with them for about 3 weeks but I don’t know if it means it’s in the pile or they are looking at it
but when I rang on Monday about evidence she said may not be included but said will probably take 25 weeks
thwy need to tell the truth if they don’t know then don’t make up crap as it makes us ring more
so hoping it means they are looking at it

I spoke to same woman I spoke to today on Monday I bet there sick of it cos they literally read from the same script constantly lol these last few weeks are stressing me out cos his renewal is sent out this month aswell x

So I bit bullet and rang this morning it is now with a case worker but could still take 6 more weeks I feel like they just blag you off. I told them I wanted to send a letter off Cahms doctor which explained my daughters disorders better she told me to make sure sent tracked so they receive it quicker not sure if this a positive sign or not

Yes . My child 2 years go. Decision maker called me and went throw fews questions over about his sleep schedule . And changed decision to high care rate same time .

Does anyone know difference between case manager and decision maker? Also the time frame between the 2?

Oh god so your going through this whole process to have to do it again for a few months!! I just feel if they were honest from the start they wouldn’t have the constant calls and we wouldn’t have the anxiety over it! I really hope you get an answer soon!! X

If you was awarded a week ago they would usually say he will get whatever rate mobility from his 5th birthday, if it is a while before they are 5 they will say on the award letter they will contact again close to there 5th birthday if you want to claim mobility

Nc SD 14/11

Saw a back payment in my bank of over 2K...so called up and my daughter was awarded MRC and LRM decided 18th march!

My son has a SD of 21/11 and not been looked at yet so they do seem to be getting to mid november now.

FYI for anyone who didnt have much evidence, i filled in the form and gave a copy of thir EHCP plans from school and thats it..
