DLA WAITING TIMES THREAD 66

Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

They can look at the whole claim again it could go up down or stay the same I think 🤔

was just wondering when you receive your letter from dla to say you was awarded because……..
Or declined because of……….
is this there only reasoning or should I have asked for something else

Will i still get the mrc dla while they look at the claim again?

Just rang declined so appeal it is gutted waited 6 months feel so deflated 😥

NC SD 21/11 here, just called to see if it was with DM and if it was too late for new evidence. Not been assigned to DM yet so have time to send in.

Absolutely gutted for you 😢 I think we'll be declined too... I looked back at my original application forms today and it was shocking to be fair.

I sent letter off paediatrician a behaviour report from school as extra evidence stating how disruptive he his don't understand cuz he got it b4 twice no change but was declined at renewal so mr and declined again we'll be OK know its a long progress but willing to do it thank you 😊 hope u get a better outcome wishing everyone lots of luck 🙂

I just called for an update of my new claim sd 29/10. Its been with a decision maker for two weeks but no decision yet.

New claims seem to be a bit faster good luck 👍

It was declined at renewal

Oh I had no idea this was a renewal! That is scandalous. So so sorry, you've had to go through all this stress for this result. X

It's been a nightmare but I'm not giving up never got the promised text message either they wonder why we keep ringing everything is scripted hopefully there at least quick at sending the letter so I can get the ball rolling and stress for another 6 months 😂

I’m hearing a lot of renewals being declined! Did you send in all the information from previous award aswell as any changes?

That is dreadful to make you also wait the full amount of time as well

This is it, isn't it.... they robotically say you will get a text as they read the script out but the majority of people find out from ringing!!

It's was more of the same evidence he's received dla 4 around 5 years sent renewal last July declined in September so mr 26th September declined again today and I'd sent more evidence as well so going to tribunal does any 1 know how long tribunal process is please 🙏

I know the answers 2 every question b4 they've even asked it iv rang that often lmao 🤣 u keep fighting 2 not long and you'll hear either way xx

I’ve received his award letter this afternoon, it’s says he qualifies for LRC with all his day time needs but he doesn’t qualify for anything else because he doesn’t have needs during the night. Which I wrote on the from that he struggles falling asleep and can take hours and also wakes up during the night. That was in October and to be fair his sleep has gotten so much worse and I didn’t update them about his sleep or stress it out or was specific enough about how long he was awake during the night or how long he took to fall asleep. I’ve been asking for support from paediatrician since October and she said she’ll discuss it in the new year at his follow up but his follow up is in a couple weeks and she prescribed melatonin for him last week and she now knows that it’s a consistent thing with him struggling with sleep. I’ve called DLA and said I disagree with their decision and I’m now sending more evidence of his sleeping and his melatonin prescription over, health visitor is also going to write some evidence so hopefully i get some better news in a few months as they said i have until 26th of April to send any more evidence then it can take them 56 days to make a decision.

Congratulations on your award. Can i ask what bank your with please? And how do you get to see pending payments? Seen alot of people say pending payments can be seen on there banks. Im with barclays and cant see any incoming pending payments, only whats going out surprisingly haha.
