Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

Sorry to hear this, same scan date as me and I have a feeling we are heading the same way. Are you going to start the MR process?

I had a feeling tbf but i knew a lot of people had the same date and were waiting so figured i'd let you all know it could be any day now.
Hopefully yours is much better news than mine but yes i'll be doing the MR. It's just so deflating to wait months even for a "no".
Really hope everyonr fighting gets the yes they need and deserve

Just called up. Have been awarded- SC 8/11.
MRC which is what I expected.

Mine is 01/11 MR
been so say with decision maker for 2 weeks
but I’m not holding my breath

was yours decline first time round

No he was given middle rate care no mobility but I didn't send evidence in from wheelchair service dietician speech and language or or his echp I basically got middle rate of my statement and schools so I asked for mandatory reconsideration as schools and everyone said he should be on higher both x

My MR is down as scanned 2/10 so my 25 weeks is next Wednesday. I called today and they said still with Decision Maker (been that way for 4 weeks) but they said it 90% should be completed by that date and if not phone up and they would chase. I’ve been waiting a year since I first put in for this, I hope it’s been worth the stress of it all :(

My son's claim is due to end on the 20/04. I've sent in some extra evidence last week of my son's diagnosis as he has just been diagnosed with autism on the 4th of this month and a letter from the senco at school of extra support he receives in school. They told me they could wait until the day before on making a decision🫣 I really hope they make a decision at least a couple weeks before his claim is due to end. I feel like the closer it's getting the more anxious I'm feeling x

My MR was accepted last week just received the MR notice how do I claim Uc child Disability element? And will it be backdated from my award date or from date I let UC know? I can’t claim careers allowance as I work to many hours.

I just received payment into my account of 1784.25
it’s been 12 weeks!
im not sure how to work that out?
my son has no diagnosis as of yet, we have adhd assessment on April 1st
he’s been accepted onto camhs pathway.
all I sent in was
senco letter
literacy assessment which shows he is significantly behind peers
i had my gp print off all of his appointments since birth and I highlighted all of the ones where I took him in due to behavioural problems and seeking help.
sleep diary of 1 night
and early help filled out the part of who knows my son.
I loved checking on this chat as I knew I’d be here for another 10 weeks or so.
can not believe it.

so I worked it out to be HRC LRM

NC SD 5/11. Have woken up to backpay, can’t believe it 🥹 Looks like MRC and LRM. So relieved he got what he deserves ❤️

I’ve also had backpay into my account this morning, I am so shocked, I really was preparing for the worst and having to fight a MR.

NC SD 29/10 so 20 weeks today.

We’ve received £2,037 so MRC and LRM, exactly what I thought he should be entitled to. The relief that this is over for a few years is indescribable.

2 days behind you with a MR. It's so bad how long they're taking. Ours has also been with a DM for weeks and weeks! Good luck!
