DLA WAITING TIMES THREAD 65

Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

Okay, so the letters are just guides and don't really bare much to them. I'm guessing a decision won't be made until well into April then. Thank you for your reply and hopefully you will hear something soon.

Our 29/10 SD is with the decision maker. When i called yesterday it was still waiting to be looked at so we have at least made some progress in the last 24h 🤞🏼

@KH94 exactly, if I didn't find this thread I wouldn't have known anything about 25 weeks or what the scan date was, I was assuming it was 15 weeks from when you first make the claim, then seen it was 25 weeks wait so mine would have been this week so phoned up last week and was told they received all my information on 21/10 so it's 25 weeks from then. I'm going to ring on Monday and see whats happening but the guy sounded pretty positive on the phone that they where just confirming bank details for the money to be paid into so hoping it's been awarded and not just a thing they say in general🤞🏽 hopefully you get good news the next time you phone X

I've had a voicemail from DLA just saying who they are and that's it. We only sent the forms in end of Jan. What could they want?

Hi! Does dla sent letter every month saying how much they will pay?

Me too, received a text on Tuesday saying it's being reviewed and will send a letter with decision, phoned up yesterday and they said it was with a decision maker, got a call this morning to confirm bank details for the money to go into and they said it was with a case manager🤷🏽‍♀️ could be a positive and they have made the decision and the case manager is finalising everything. I'm phoning on Monday to see what they say🙈 hopefully it's good news🤞🏽

Hi, would also like to know this, I have submitted my son's renewal, his old claim runs out on the 20/03. I rang today to ask, they told me they normally make a decision close to the end date, but hoping they make a decision this month, the wait is horrible. I've just got my son's autism diagnosis on Tuesday, he still may be getting diagnosed with ADHD, as waiting on school sending evidence into cahms before they can make a decision on it. The man on the phone told me to send proof of my son's diagnosis in once I receive the letter from cahms. Really hope a decision is made soon I hate the wait😬 what is your scan date?x

@AnonymousMum37 is this for a new claim? How old is the child? Could be to confirm identity or send in child's birth certificate at a guess.
