DLA WAITING TIMES THREAD 65

1000 replies

zoeybrooks45 · 21/02/2025 20:01

Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

Oh and also suggested they update their letter to stipulate 25 weeks, not 15 as stated.

Edited

I had 2 letters, 1 saying 11 weeks and another saying 15 weeks. If they know it isn’t going to be done it that time frame why can’t they just start 20-25 weeks on them🤣

mumof1879 · 07/03/2025 13:48

Those that have had calls is it from a withheld number or an actual number or something else? I just had a missed call but don’t know who from 😣😩

Exactly. I said to him, if you update the letter for the later date people will call less as they haven't been given earlier dates to expect a decision

Jod3s87 · 07/03/2025 13:56

Keep checking my pending payments and all it shows is bloody bills being taken out 🤣

I got a call to confirm bank details and they said it was with a case manger now, so I'm wondering if after the decision maker it goes back to case manger to confirm everything and put through the reward letter/money or decline letter? So confusing you get told one thing then another thing, and they wonder why people keep phoning up🙈

Wild isn't it!

Exactly! It doesn't help that all the information online is so outdated, they all say 8-15 weeks so if people don't know about threads like this or the Facebook groups, they're non the wiser to the 25 week wait :(

I might ring at 4ish to see if a decision has been made 😅

Jod3s87 · 07/03/2025 14:01

I might ring everyday now, just because he annoyed me. I'm a healthcare professional and provide the tiniest of detail for my patients so they know what's going on.

They make me laugh 🤣
@Glitzxx mines been with a decision maker since 8/11 apparently. He couldn't tell me how long it'd been with them, if it was with one, 🫣

GreyDreamer25 · 07/03/2025 14:37

SD 8/11 rang today they said it’s not even in que for decision yet it’s on the stage before that😣

Still on hold 🙄

GreyDreamer25 · 07/03/2025 15:04

It’s ridiculous so happy for those that have been awarded though

blueskies1331 · 07/03/2025 15:09

NC SD 21/11
Letter received 25/11 saying it will take up to 15 weeks. Then again a letter on 8/1 saying 15 weeks. So is it 15 weeks from the 8/1 I can assume, best case scenario? Thanks all and wishing everyone the best outcome first time around.

ERichardson · 07/03/2025 15:20

Kizzy0204 · 07/03/2025 13:10

did you find out if they have made a decision?

Yes was awarded on the 5th March. So pleased I rang as letters taking about 10 days she said.

Sarahlou15 · 07/03/2025 15:25

MR 01/11
bit confused
just rang and got straight through
I send evidence yesterday special delivery they have received it on the 3rd apparently but only sent yesterday but she could tell me what it was so was not talking BS
so was confused why it says 3rd and said it’s with case manager
Do you think that it is with case manager and that is how she can tell me all the evidence
