Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

What does scan date mean? I'm in Scotland so don't know if it's a little different from England!
I've done the first half of the application on the phone on the 12th of September, I sent the 2nd part in on the 12th of October with all the supporting info and received a text saying they received it on the 21st of October. My situation is a bit complicated as I had to do an ID check on the 4th of November as it's for my nephew that I have in my full time care (I've had him since he was born) then I received a text on 14th of November saying they've updated all his records in the system then another on the same day saying his application is progressing and they will send a text at the next stage. I phoned up in December as I hadn't received his information back and they said they sent it was back on the 14th of November so it's got lost in the post so I called in January they said it was with the case manger then I phoned yesterday and they said it still hasn't been picked up by the decision maker yet. Hoping I hear something soon🤞🏽

@AutumnAir82 did you receive a text at all ? Did they call you for more information? Or did you just find out from calling .

Seems like you receive a bit more feedback communication than we do here !

I'm in England and had to do an id check by sending my son's birth certificate .

Your scan date will be the date they said they received the forms .

I'm always sceptical about phoning them as I've read so many people receiving attitude for phoning but so far every time I've phoned they have been fine and helpful so I'll just keep waiting instead of pestering them, so I'm guessing I should hear something by middle of April? The ID check they had to come to my home to confirm my identity and I had to send court documents that I had my nephew but they weren't enough so they had to confirm with his social worker so I was thinking that was delaying everything but seems my scan date was 21/10 so hopefully not much longer

Thank you for being my scan date buddy. I actually thought she'd been declined as I didn't receive a text. DM rang me yesterday as I forgot to answer the "have they been out of the UK" question. He said he'd award later or today at the latest. He told me he'd send a text if she was awarded but a letter if declined, no text so I've just rang panicking thinking she was declined. But mrc phew. If yours is with the same DM it's likely it will be awarded. Defo ring if your feeling anxious about it. 21 weeks and 1 day is a long time. Keep me updated ❤️ keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you. xxx

Does any know what options to press to find out what the decision was as I rang and said 1 of my children they have made a decision but can’t tell me I’ve called back same number but don’t seem to be any other options of what I should press then what I did already

Option 4 leads me to pop then there is 9 options after that

Just called both my daughters claims have been accepted with in a day of each other both SD 21/10 🥳

Daughter 4 - awarded 25th for ASD&ADHD pathway with many other issues awarded MRC until August (5th birthday) then will automatically change to MRC + LRM

Daughter 8 - awarded 26th for ADHD and GDD award is HRC + LRM

I’ve always put off claiming for my oldest because she wasn’t diagnosed adhd until last year, but finally did it and I’m so glad I did!
my girls can finally get the help they need and can finally buy my youngest a new pram!

Awh im so happy for you, its life changing for the kids and I dont think people quite understand how draining the wait can be! I called just now and was told still waiting for a desicion so hopefully not too much longer 🤞 xx

My 8 year old claim same as your youngest girly we've just done our renewal after being awarded June 23 so got a big wait still! Hoping it's not the same and the nc wait! X

I applied for both of my sons and 1 of them has just been awarded 🙂
My other sons who has got a diagnosis is should be must longer as they both had same scan date
