Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

@Poppycooo I'm not too sure how the payments going forward works but it's every 4 weeks on a Tuesday usually. But not sure when your first 4 weekly payment would be . It will say in the letter that you receive hopefully soon ! Usually 7-10days after award is made.

I really hope everybody gets what their child deserves soon. It’s easy to get imposter syndrome during this process so keep strong and keep believing your child is deserving of all the help they can get ♥️

Does anyone know. If they log how many times you call. I called Monday. And wanted to call today. But don't wanna get into trouble 😕

I just called and asked for an update despite also calling on Monday. No update so far and they told me I don't need to call again until it has been 25 weeks. Thanks but I will be calling again next week 🤣

Fingers crossed. I have no idea why some are done quicker than others….!

I meant few days after you sent your forms in not ur scan date was looking it it wrong but even with your scan date being after mine it is done quicker so like you said I have no idea either i only rang up on monday , i sent in for 2 of my children on same day .

Just received payment this morning so claim must have been successful however I think it is for LRC not MRC/HRC as I'd hoped. What's the process from here? Can I appeal the decision?

Called just now was Awarded yesterday!

I can't believe it I really can't this is going to open a beautiful world to my daughter I can now afford to buy her a bed in my room as she is still in my bed!, I can get the food she needs as has her own set menu the list goes on!
I have spent every penny I had and had no chance going forward. This means everything 🥹

what is MRC LRM I seen similar things being used but didn’t know what they stand for ?

Same as me I was awarded LRC 24/12/24 submitted a MR over the phone 23/1/25 sent in new evidence and written letter by CAB detailing why I think DD should of been awarded MRC/HRC
now it’s a another wait until they look at it again looking at May/June for a decision

Hi everyone. NC, SD 9/10. Got a text this morning saying my son qualifies! Phoned and went through to option 4. He's been awarded MRC until Jan 27. He wakes up throughout the night, so I thought HRC might be a possibility, but I'm so happy. This will help him so much. Good luck everyone and I hope your children get the awards that they deserve xx

Awwh So sorry to hear it was declined wait for the decision letter so you can see the reasons they declined and submit a MR get CAB to help you write a detailed letter and send any new evidence you may have
