Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

Really hoping we see lots more Oct claims being awarded this week

It was a nc the 14/03/2023 got a no coz they never went off the everdance just the booklet then they lost my letters of prove had to do a mr 18/09 after waiting the first time round 18 weeks now am on 23 weeks with mr an been with dm for 3 weeks today and rang them before she said to me let me out you on hold a min though yes it’s done but no come back to me with her 25 week speech it’s dragging really is

Have you rang up as you said it’s been 25 weeks when was the last time your rang them up . You might off said already I’m going through the thread so haven’t seen

I rang today, we were declined, decision made the 18th x

It’s mr after my nc it’s bad yes rang them this morning had the old 25 weeks speech so still waiting been with this dm 3 weeks today it’s bad

Hello, just after some advice. My son’s renewal is 10/04 and I hadn’t received forms until mid jan. I sent them off today 25/02 with evidence. Will they still treat as renewal or a new claim as I know it was late to send off? TAI

Hi, don’t worry you weren’t late sending it. I sent mine later than that. It will be treated as a renewal as long as it arrives before the current award ends. You will probably get a decision early April.

How long does it take uc to verify your child disability element and receive back payment?

I was just advised on my journal it’s with a decision maker and they will be in touch. I called and asked how long it will take they said usually weeks not months.

After decision how long does it take to receive letter, is it 10 days?

NC 15.10 assuming it is a decline as seen so many awarded after me on FB and even packpay.

evidence sent: school letter about potential exclusion (she’s 6), EP report and statement from school. Not diagnosed yet but on ASD pathway and waiting to be assessed for ADHD. Had her ADHD 1st appointment in December so will send the summary of appointment letter with an MR. She also already has an EHCP. She’s already been waiting almost 2 years for her first ASD appointment, school referred for ASD which it states in my claim.

I got my reward letter 3 days after the decision was made and back payment in a day after.

if u have been accepted the money will hit ur account before u get a letter in most cases u can give them a call to find out

they have made a decision but can’t tell em over the phone does anyone know what option to pick to find out and can you confirm the number is it the one ending in 600

Hi everyone, I called today regarding a MR as I’ve got some some new evidence to send, she told me it’s with a case manager and asked me what the new evidence was so she could make a note of it, does this mean a decision will be made soon? Xx

Mr Scan date 15th Nov rang this morning said still not with decision maker said decision by 2nd of may x

I also rang this morning and the man didn't take any details or anything just said "it's a 25 week wait and that's that. Enjoy the rest of your wait" 🥴. I'm thinking of putting a complaint in but not sure that'll get me anywhere
