I think it’s normally 3-5 working days, due to holidays I think it will be delayed you should receive back pay by the 3rd Jan

Ahhh okay thankyou

Gemzb · 28/12/2024 08:46

COC SD 19/7 now at 23 weeks & still not heard anything. Anyone else with a similar date?

RainyDreams · 28/12/2024 08:56

MR sd 25/07

Woke up to a pending back pay of £1400 which I work out to be about £33 a week so he’s got his HRC back. I’m so happy.

With UC do I just write it in the journal or are the rate levels a bit you have to select in changing the child’s details?

I believe you have to select the rates of DLA. I would write in the journal to request a back date from that date your son was awarded.

Same! I’m done in but we’ve made it through another Christmas. Really hope they’ve got a decision for you by Monday.

Me too, between dla and uc Christmas was a welcome distraction. Hope they don't drag it out much longer, I can concentrate on rhe kids and the house if it gets sorted 🤞

Myboy2017 · 28/12/2024 12:57

No idea, I haven't spoken to them, just saw the money pending. I haven't wanted to call at all because I didn't want the disappointment and I really thought they'd be difficult about it and we'd have to go to tribunal.

Chels2020 · 28/12/2024 16:18

Ah I see mine was awarded on 23/12 but I can’t see any pending payments on my bank I never can so was just wondering to see when I can expect mine x

Mummaof4neurodivergent2non · 29/12/2024 07:00

Here's to many more awards for the children this week positive vibes for you all x

Out of curiosity anyone know how long uc will take to backdate the child disabled element please sent messages on 24th December and had to contact tax credits due to migration in July as they cover the disabled element prior to me migrating to UC but dla claim started 11.4 but MR has been backdated to 4.4.24 now weird??
Received uc message about verifying details my payment period ends 3.1.25 so doubting will be sorted with bank Holidays anyone know how long should give them before escalating it as I know they can move quickly when they want to 🤗x

WomanIsTaken · 29/12/2024 08:08

I've just found this series of threads after a general Google of DLA waiting times.

I imagine our scan date (a new claim for DD) to be the last week in August, I ought to check.

I just googled as I've not heard anything apart from our confirmation of application letter back in September so thought I should check.

Seeing these threads which seem to be reaching full capacity of 1000 posts every few weeks, I'm wondering whether I've missed a memo: have I disadvantaged DD's claim process by not regularly contacting the DWP to request updates on the application? I just assumed they would get back to us once a decision had been made, or perhaps in order to request further details to inform their decision making, so I've not made any contact at all (bar submitting an additional report to be added to the evidence bundle 10 days after the original application was made). It's as if the long waiting times for anything clinical / SEND related have stretched my expectations for how long I'm prepared to wait to hear from agencies, and maybe I've just been too hands-off and trusting of the process in this instance, thinking they will get to our application in due course? I'm happy to continue to wait, but wonder whether I now ought to contact someone as that's what everyone else seems to be doing?

Flowerpot12345 · 29/12/2024 08:23

Hi all New to all this-have recently applied although I phone and received a dla application form back 24th June the official SD October 4th-no idea how any of this works ? my son has been diagnosed with ADHD, Tourette syndrome and suspected autism still waiting for the final diagnosis!

Shorty180 · 29/12/2024 08:28

I don’t have any plans to contact them unless it gets to 20 weeks and I want to know if a decision is close. I understand checking if additional evidence has been received etc for peace of mind, but I feel it’s a case of they’ll get to it when they get to it x

They told me they didn’t have a timeframe in which to sort it. I waited a couple of weeks and then made a complaint online, after which they sorted it within a week I believe it was.

Not calling up won’t have impacted your daughters claim. People have called up for various reasons and just to check progress given we were given decision times of 11 weeks originally which in our case ended up being 20 weeks. If you’ve sent whatever evidence you felt will be relevant to your claim, I wouldn’t worry.
