Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful times. 💐
New claims (NC) are taking ‘around’ 20 weeks.
Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) & Change Of Circumstances (COC) between 20-25 weeks approx.
Renewals between 15-20 weeks approx
tribunals: when you disagree with MR and are considered by a court
scan date (SD) date form was scanned on the system and counting weeks for decision
original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated
UC : universal credit
DWP: department of work and pensions
DM: decision maker; the person who assesses each claim and awards/decline a case
number for an update 121-4600 0800 121-4600
currently we are in July/August for decisions! xx

Sounds a bit like the original call handler. He only said a decision had been made today but wasn’t able to tell me even when I said I know people have been able to get their decisions over the phone. I don’t blame you for being fed up. I was glad they were shutting for the 3 days tbh so I wouldn’t be able to call them. The date issue had me annoyed too. Every chance you’ll get your decision before the year is out when they open up again

NC SD 09/08 I am in shock I have just called up to be told a decision has just been made today and my son has been awarded HRC until 2033! My son has recently turned 3 and we suspect he is autistic, not on pathway yet due to Paed refusing us until he sees SALT. Over the moon this is going to make such a difference to his little life! Evidence sent was portage referral, paediatrician referral, a few appointment letters for SALT, OT and Audiology as well as a brilliant report from nursery and a sleep diary. Also read out my son’s support plan we have just been given from nursery and also informed her he has been added to the SEN register. I can’t believe they have awarded him for so long too especially for his age! Good luck everybody still waiting I am rooting for you all!❤️

Thank you 😭 I can’t stop crying. Finally hearing the words a decision has been made this morning was such a shock. All that worry over then speaking to school was for nothing

Just called and a decision has been made, but they couldn't tell me🙄

So now on hold to option 4 hopefully they will🤞🏻

Don't forget to update UC as the disabled child element is quite a bit more they will need to backdate that too and if you apply for carers element /allowance get that backdated hun x

Thank you. Can’t believe they gave it that final push, first time I’m impressed with them since this journey began 😂 scan date 06/08. Do you know I didn’t even ask about back pay I was in shock. I don’t dare call them back. I’m assuming 3-5 days but with Christmas and new year I don’t know. I’ll update when it’s in my account x

@Kc1999x may be best placed to answer on back pay. Did you receive yours? I think ours will be impacted by Christmas/New Year. I didn’t think to ask 😆

It is that feeling of being listened to as well isn’t it. Trying to convince someone who has never met your child about their needs doesn’t seem right it should be like a doctors appointment where they see our children! Rooting for everyone on here for their children to get what they deserve too 🤞
