This is my thought process now. I’ve done all I can do for now. I’ll see them in court if needs be

Yes! I will only let it go when I know I’ve done all I can for my son

SKB12 · 17/12/2024 12:51

Kc1999x · 17/12/2024 12:42

No decision as of this morning. Going to call back before they close😂

This wait is just as tortuous but at least you know the end is near. Sounds like they are giving it their full attention which can only be a good thing

Stillwaiting2 · 17/12/2024 13:01

@s39 your same date is me I think. Mines gone to a dm. Sent in extra evidence yesterday, hopefully they get it in time incase x

CarlyD85 · 17/12/2024 13:23

I've just had the message come through to say he been approved, I rang to check what he was awarded but the guy said i needed to wait for the letter.

SD 2/8 I'm so emotional and relieved

Chels2020 · 17/12/2024 13:39

If anyone wants to ring ring now I took me 7 minutes to get through!

lady very rude tried to spill the me shit of 25 weeks to reach a dm I said well actually I’ll stop you there mine is already with a dm has been for two weeks she spoke to me two weeks ago and asked for evidence I sent it was passed into my sons claim test she shut up took me through dpa and said oh yes I can see she’s notes the claim to say she’s waiting evidence so she will be reviewing again soon

I requested a text message but she said to me I’ll probably get payment first if awarded because that takes 3/5 days and letters take 7/10 days

stand your ground ladies 🤞🤞 for the rest of this week x

Go you! Love that you caved and called earlier than expected😂 fingers crossed for a decision before the week ends🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

VSLBIRae · 17/12/2024 13:45

Yeah that's what I thought, just such a long process, my little one is only 3 and half, but was advised from consultant to apply, she has Non verbal Austism which delayed global development. Didn't start walking untill nearly 2, I found forms so hard too describe, because it's like her world in our house.

Kc1999x · 17/12/2024 14:02

Just spoke to the decision maker from DLA. They wanted my sons up to date school, gave those details, she’s going to be attempting to call them today and tomorrow. So as soon as she’s spoken to them she will have a decision

Yes I was on the loo and seen the 0800 number come up and I was like I know this number😂 never went toilet so quick in my life😂😂 I’m going to pick my son up shortly so going to ask if they’ve spoken with them within this past hour. I just hope they back up what I’ve said, which they should as they are helping me to get a specialist school for him as he’s not coping with mainstream

If she doesn’t speak to school by Thursday it’ll be after Christmas for a decision though. I’m not feeling hopeful at all. I feel stressed and sick tbh

Oh goodness. School will support you. Honestly I need speak to ours I only mentioned it to them last week and as per zero response which I’m now going to raise as ab issue with them

I believe it’s been granted as they wouidnt speak to school otherwise.

It is suck a relief i cried when I read the text and i had to re read it a few times.
I did ring back again about 30 minutes later and was told he was awarded mrc and lrm, I had convinced myself they would decline him but I was wrong.

Good luck to everyone else waiting x

so she asked if there’s any teacher that they should speak to in particular or just the senco. I said the senco is actually my sons teacher so speak to her or if she isn’t available ask for his 1:1 and gave her name. I just don’t want them to focus on all the positives of my child because he is a loving boy if you get what I mean
