Are you New Claim or MR?
You should be very close if New Claim.
They seem to be working on first week of August this week...and end of last week.
Mine was 31/07 decision made last Thurs.

I'm a new claim

I’m going through renewal too but it’s not due to end until 28th April next year so I’ll leave it until 2 weeks before if I haven’t heard anything. I think with renewals it’s easier because it needs to be sorted before the award end date.

I received my papers in August and only sent them off in November so I was very late in sending them back. So you are prob right and prob will be fine with the wait times xx

Is anyone around this date that has been awarded, I called up and they told me 25weeks till I get an answer, however I've been seeing people on FB being awarded around this date. I'm currently 19 weeks today

My sd 02/08 NC. Was told on Friday and today it still with a DM. Here's hoping 🤞🤞

NC 14/08
Keeping my 🤞🏼 for everyone still waiting before me especially all the overdue July dates.

My additional evidence was delivered this morning. Anyone know when would be best to call to see if it's been scanned in? Wishing for a positive decision this side of Christmas but not hopeful 😬.

D78 · 17/12/2024 11:21

Anyone know how long they usually with a DM?? X

depends on the case load. You could be in a pile of 10 or a pile of 500🤷🏽‍♀️ the process is draining

I’d be phoning tomorrow mine was scanned onto my national insurance number not my sons claim so I’d keep checking x

Is your MR for HRM? If so I assume you are already LRM however high was refused initially ?

I had the same issue which was overturned at tribunal in November however prior to hearing, care was changed from high to middle on renewal therefore judge could only award it for the pre renewal period. My MR is challenging the decision to downgrade.

i believe we share the same scan date and we are also with a DM eeek

good luck all

hopefilly it won’t be a case of tribunal🤞🏽🤞🏽

Really hoping not but I’ve started going through my own statements detailing how he is

Micd3896 · 17/12/2024 11:41

Does anyone else think this process is just mentally draining?

NC 20/8 - called this morning and they said it went to a decision maker yesterday. Asked her how long now in terms of getting a decision and she said could be an hour could be 2 months we don’t know!

there is no evidence they could request because I sent absolutely everything, school even sent a 10 page report I even sent the letter from the ASD service saying we won’t get an appointment until late next year as there is a 28 month wait.

my bet is they will want new school evidence as the claim was sent out August with evidence based on his year 1 teacher (report was written late July) and now he’s in year 2 I bet they want a report of her as well.

it’s mentally draining

Absolutely. Having to prove something you know to be true takes it out of you when you know they are seeking to either not award or award as low as possible. I’m even convinced they decline and award lower relying on the claimant to take it to MR and tribunal. We’ve sent in everything we could think of but I’m still not confident not because I don’t think my son doesn’t deserve it but because I know how they can be like. Good luck x

I am in this position now. Although my boy was given HRC and LRM I am fighting for HRM. He definitely qualifies but who knows how they judge it 😏

I’m fully expecting a decline so I’ve already mentally prepared myself for a MR! How sad is that lol

They take evidence up to two years so I think you will be ok

It is MR for HRM. Currently don’t have any mobility as he is only 4, turns 5 in January.
and oooo fingers crossed we both have decisions very soon!!

I never put my NI on it just his Name and DOB but have noticed that they still manage to lose forms and evidence 🤦🏻‍♀️. Gives me an excuse to call for an update too.

Gunnermom · 17/12/2024 12:06

I’d suggest googling the chart if you are applying under SMI. So long as you evidence criteria, you should be fine

I’ve got the charts. Meets all the criteria I’ve sent the evidence. I’ve sent my own statement against their reasons for decline alongside a statement of how he fits the criteria. I’m willing to take it to tribunal this time around.
