Oh my Goodness!!!! Oh my Goodness!!!!! I think we have been awarded!!!!!!!! Oh my God!!!!!!!!!!

Scan date 17/7. I checked my emails when I woke up (as I do every morning!) and an email said “your Clearpay payment for £18 has gone through”. Nononononononono, my child benefit went in today (£25.60) and it was all we had for food until next Tuesday (and my daughter has ARFID), so that leaves us with £7.60 for a week’s food. I check my bank balance and there is more than £7.60 in there, with a reference of HN(numbers)DW!!!

I can afford food, I can get her some Christmas presents, oh my God!!!!!! I am absolutely over the moon!!!!! They believed me. After years and years of doctors and paediatricians and GP’s telling me that “there’s nothing wrong” (despite the clear facial deformities and the hypotonia and the heart murmur and the tiptoe walking and the failure to thrive and the ASD) I was taken seriously. The relief, argh!!!!

Do NOT give up hope!!!! I was full-on 100% expecting a mandatory reconsideration. I was already starting to gather evidence for one, and we were awarded.

Amazing news! So pleased for you and your daughter - it's such a relief when someone else 'sees' it isn't it?!

My daughter struggled through Primary school with all of her teachers saying that they had no concerns and couldn't see the things I was saying. Then 2 weeks after she went into yr 6 her teacher said "absolutely, I can see what your saying and I 100% agree that she certainly has autistic traits and would benefit to some support being put in place"
The relief was huge - I felt the same when she was awarded DLA - Congratulations again 🙂

Reebee777 · 17/12/2024 07:38

I have received my daughters last payment from DLA today which was for the amount of £737.20. Today was my usual pay date but her claim runs out on the 28/12/2024. She receives HRC no mobility. I doubt very much her renewal has been done yet as I sent it in late. Can anyone help with why the figure is more than usual? As I was expecting maybe a week or so oddment more but it’s not adding up to me. Thanks :)

Why has it taken so long when your evidence was delivered next day? Is your claim more complex?

They scanned my evidence under my national insurance number so only been added to my sons yesterday when a lady told me to ask them to check under me as it got there Wednesday 6am should have been scanned that day but never the less we found it 🤣🤣 and it’s now where it’s suppose to be x

Reebee777 · 17/12/2024 08:32

Thank you everyone! I’m going to do the dreaded call to confirm and I’ll let you all know. I was expecting a 15 week wait at least which I’ve been stressing about. Had the forms since end of August but just find them so overwhelming kept putting it off! This is her first renewal. X
