Any one had anything back for coc's my scan date is the 17/7 still not heard anything.

My scan date was 16/7 for a coc. I phoned this morning and it went to a decision maker today. Worth giving them a call if you haven't already

Yeah I understand your point. If my disabled child was put on a behaviour card I would be absolutely livid! They should know that it is not something they can control. My LO is only primary age they could do things differently in secondary xx

The do, do things differently in secondary school if disability needs had already been noted in primary then going into secondary the sen team would already be aware and put things in place depending on the child's needs ( movement breaks, a pass to leave the class when overwhelmed, fidget toy, one to one behaviour support, most mainstream have a thrive depertmeent for sen children) if no previous disability or sen needs and the child's just started secondary school it starts as bad behaviour and this is usually where it starts so the child would be put on something like this lady has been emailed the report will go on for weeks the school will speak to the parent and if any behaviour is flagged that is seen as additional needs or disability sen will then get involved so based on what this lady has posted I'm guessing the child has just started secondary and bad behaviour has just started in school so this would not help a dla claim the next stage of sen intervention after this report would but not a behaviour report placed on a child all it tells the DM is that sen needs have not been identified as yet... I'd be absolutely calling a meeting with that school.. I'm intrigued to know if the parent has flagged sen needs with the school and if anything is in place..

Hey I'm just wondering if anyone has got a response for a Coc from 31/7. Or how long I can expect to wait to hear. I know new claims seem to be now being awarded but don't know if it's different for a coc.

Many thanks

Hi mine is from the 17/7 still nothing another lady said hers is the 16/7 and is with DM

Chaz693 · 16/12/2024 17:12

@3daughters37 thank you. Was hoping to hear before Christmas but oh well. Maybe January lol! Was going to call up but didn't fancy sitting on the phone for hours. When I called to check they'd received it he said 20 weeks which will be Wednesday but I never completely believe them.

SKB12 · 16/12/2024 17:46

RainyDreams · 16/12/2024 16:44

Also, I’m here waiting on a MR. I think it was 25/7 so keeping my fingers crossed I’ll get a response before Christmas. They lowered my son from HRC to MRC at renewal (well new claim because they didn’t send out forms and I didn’t realise until it was too late!) and seemed to miss out the night time section entirely just saying he needs help during the day.

According to a DM i spoke to today, you would have grounds to ask for it to be escalated because your award has dropped you could then say it’s causing you financial hardship. In any event they are up to at 18/07 so yours won’t be much longer.

Anyone else waiting on a decision for a new claim in July? I’m 26/07, still no decision but was told on Friday it’s with a decision maker. 20 + 3 days today x

I'm awaiting a decision from 25/7 NC but did get a letter saying they needed some extra evidence. Just sent it off today via special delivery. So will be there tomorrow. Always worth calling them and asking them to look at notes as they didn't tell me at first. It was just going to arrive in the post the letter with what they needed..

Same scan date as me, have you heard anything yet?

Scareofgettingthiswrong · 17/12/2024 06:04

Oh my Goodness!!!! Oh my Goodness!!!!! I think we have been awarded!!!!!!!! Oh my God!!!!!!!!!!

Scan date 17/7. I checked my emails when I woke up (as I do every morning!) and an email said “your Clearpay payment for £18 has gone through”. Nononononononono, my child benefit went in today (£25.60) and it was all we had for food until next Tuesday (and my daughter has ARFID), so that leaves us with £7.60 for a week’s food. I check my bank balance and there is more than £7.60 in there, with a reference of HN(numbers)DW!!!

I can afford food, I can get her some Christmas presents, oh my God!!!!!! I am absolutely over the moon!!!!! They believed me. After years and years of doctors and paediatricians and GP’s telling me that “there’s nothing wrong” (despite the clear facial deformities and the hypotonia and the heart murmur and the tiptoe walking and the failure to thrive and the ASD) I was taken seriously. The relief, argh!!!!

Do NOT give up hope!!!! I was full-on 100% expecting a mandatory reconsideration. I was already starting to gather evidence for one, and we were awarded.

Scareofgettingthiswrong · 17/12/2024 06:09

I think we have been awarded HRC, LRM. I am absolutely beyond ecstatic!!!

I am absolutely beyond relieved, and thrilled to bits that it goes on care needs, not diagnosis as I believed for years, as we will be on the waiting list for ASD for at least another 18 months, which will bring her to 9, but her biggest problems primarily stem from that.

I just want to give you all awards now, argh!
