So why do they lie about the date order it’s ridiculous. It’d save a lot of bother

The DM this morning said it goes strictly by date order to which I said I can categorically state that’s not true and why I had made a complaint.

Absolutely ask school
for further information aswel more specific examples if they can provide you these anything will
help x just don’t add your national insurance number to it it’s extended my wait almost a week 🤣🤣

Emat19833 · 16/12/2024 16:00

Has anyone else had simular happen to them uc have awarded the back pay but that's all it says and I've messaged them several times but had no reply???🤷‍♀️

Yes! They will send you another letter soon to confirm how much and when you’ll receive it x

Emat19833 · 16/12/2024 16:07

Ok thanks my daughters came in the same letter which is why I was bit confused
Thanks

zoeybrooks45 · 16/12/2024 16:07

Would this be any evidence?!?

It appears a bit vague. Is there a support plan in place for him in terms of an education provision? Or does he meet up with the a specialist teacher regularly for education support? I would add it via phone rather than sending it if you want. It’s quite difficult deciding what’s relevant. I am pretty sure I sent too much evidence aswell xx

Would this be any evidence?!?

It’s vague and could be something my 13 year old without additional needs could be on, but alongside of other evidence it may help?

LittleMissOhSoTired · 16/12/2024 16:17

SD 15/10

I called today to check to see if they received my extra evidence and the lady told me the current wait is 25 weeks and my claim is 'proceeding as expected' whatever that means 🤣

My call was answered very quickly today so hopefully there are more hands on decks for those of you that have been waiting so long!

Yeah I’ve had the same one letter and. A message on journal last time after my renewal and award changed for my other son I had the first letter then another to confirm how much and when x

No absolutely do not send that, that would be very detrimental to your claim for a disabled child.. That is a behaviour report that a neurotypical child would be placed on.. Why has the school sent you that is your child not receiving sen support at school.. That report / email implys that is bad behaviour that your child is Choosing and needs to manage, it also implys your child could manage their own report card through the school day and it's the child's responsibility to hand it to teachers and present it to the year head.

after I got my dla claim, I updated uc and they applied it from that date. I requested the back pay and had a letter to say we’d receive it but no amount or date. A couple of weeks passed and nothing so I put a note on the journal asking when it’d be paid and it went in the bank a couple of days later. So if it doubt, give them a nudge.

Yeah I understand your point. If my disabled child was put on a behaviour card I would be absolutely livid! They should know that it is not something they can control. My LO is only primary age they could do things differently in secondary xx

Also, I’m here waiting on a MR. I think it was 25/7 so keeping my fingers crossed I’ll get a response before Christmas. They lowered my son from HRC to MRC at renewal (well new claim because they didn’t send out forms and I didn’t realise until it was too late!) and seemed to miss out the night time section entirely just saying he needs help during the day.
