Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful times. 💐
New claims (NC) are taking ‘around’ 20 weeks.
Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) & Change Of Circumstances (COC) between 20-25 weeks approx.
Renewals between 15-20 weeks approx
tribunals: when you disagree with MR and are considered by a court
scan date (SD) date form was scanned on the system and counting weeks for decision
original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated
UC : universal credit
DWP: department of work and pensions
DM: decision maker; the person who assesses each claim and awards/decline a case
number for an update 121-4600 0800 121-4600
currently we are in July/August for decisions! xx

I am not sure, but yes an online system would be so much better. I don’t understand why it can’t be done on government gateway. Especially for adding evidence. It would save so much time and speed up the process surely

Hopefully Monday. I plan to call even if there’s no update they were meant to call but must’ve been busy Thursday and Friday

I believe with the tribunal it can be uploaded online so yes why not this too

😆 exactly what I would do. I ring them every day and get withdrawals at the weekend. 😅

18+1 now sd 9/08 feels like waiting for an eternity. I sent my original form back in early July took them 7 weeks to tell me they received it had 2 letters 1 in sept and one in Oct but nothing since phoned up at 15 weeks told me with a decision maker but going to take the full 20 weeks which for me would take me to the 27 th Dec which don't make sense because it's going to the holidays which I'm pretty sure they won't be working. I'm just fed up of waiting now although I wish you guys with July's dates had been done already since they've taken their sweet time with it all it's just as frustrating for us August start dates. My son has suspected autism doesn't handle school very well walks with his feet inverted too which is also apparently a sign of autism doesn't have a formal diagnosis as of yet been waiting for 2+ years for an appointment for diagnosis he has a ehcp among other references from health care providers. I hope everyone gets what their children deserve I always look forward to the updates on everyone here especially when someone gets the outcome they were wanting and I'd be truly lost without this thread. I sent in my extra evidence. The guy on the phone told me if I don’t know the ref number to just put their full name and DOB.

Yes this is best practice. Advice is NOT to be your NI number as the evidence will get linked to your file instead of you child.

include child full name, DOB and reference number (on the top right corner of every letter they send). We already have our claims delayed as it is and just for precaution so your not waiting longer xx

I need to check the tracking and make sure they actually got there! 👀 I’m annoyed I didn’t try and claim sooner for my DD15 tbh, all this for a year award and that’s if she’s not declined, which I presume she will be. 🙈

The dm told me who rang me to add my national insurance number aswell! I’m gunna phone first thing Monday and make sure it’s not been scanned onto my file evidence sent 10/12 received by dla post room 11/12 at 6am and as of Friday still not on the system! Xx

It happened to someone not long ago. They put their NI on their child’s paperwork along with the child’s details. Called up said it’s not scanned on. Kept calling then finally asked to check if it’s under their own NI number which it was. It got put onto the parents claim not the child’s. So it can definitely happen. I’d say rarely and just a simple mistake but a mistake that can prolong the childs claim so if it’s not scanned on next week I’d ask them to check your NI just in case x

i will be doing but how can they be on parents we don’t get dla? Confusing but I will be phoning never the less first thing tomorrow 🤣🤣 will be just my luck! X
