In which case why hasn’t yours even been allocated. If you were to call up you’d get no explanation. I was so sure yours would be last week I really can’t imagine it being after Christmas!

Literally they’d tell me to wait till 25 weeks. Can’t be arsed at this point🤦🏽‍♀️

Hope you get the decision you want very soon. it does seem to depend very much on the DM doesn’t it I’ve seen so many awards with no evidence on fb .. wish I’d sent all letters originally and avoided all this it will be a year in January since I first applied.

Just think though if awarded at MR you’ll have it all backdated🤞🏽 nearly at the finish line now! I hope you get the outcome you want!

To that I would say why should I when 19/07 claim hasn’t had to. I’m actually convinced it’s a WMs area issue.

Our renewal was 23/12. I left it until 06/08 as my mum was very poorly which I’ve left them know. Even if they refuse it on lateness grounds I can still take it to tribunal but need that yes or no off them first.

Emptyabc · 09/12/2024 14:06

I really hope so 🤞
from following threads on here and fb I’ve no doubt at all he should be awarded middle care and low mobility.. but if not what then tribunal.. I’m so exhausted from the wait already just want my lad to have what he deserves

It is a very exhausting process however if the worst outcome take it to tribunal!

Yeah, the decision letter was 23/12. I left it as it was as my mum was in ICU and needed help after, just wasn’t on my mind to appeal at the time. CAB said as long as it was within the 13 months DWP should still consider it and should they decline it on lateness we still could go on to tribunal

I’m 2 weeks after 06/08 no chance they will get that far this side of Christmas they can’t seem to cope with Julys workload

Hey that’s what was said to me July has completely set them back by another 5 weeks. That’s why it’s now at 25. I’m 28.8 nc as many know.
they said there is no way I will hear before the first week in feb.
it’s just such a nightmare x

It is totally draining and consumes your life. That’s how I’m feeling. I had hoped with Christmas coming up it’d be a welcome distraction but tbh it’s still on my mind. The not knowing what a stranger thinks your child should and shouldn’t have is hard

sjay1017 · 09/12/2024 14:23

part of me somewhat thinks now they aren’t scanning new claims. I put in a claim 4 weeks ago for my daughter now they saying it’s past the deadline as they haven’t received it. So now have to fill the form in again and print the evidence again.
im already 15 weeks with my son, this just annoys me so much. They said sorry but we can’t backdate for the 6 weeks now as you missed the deadline.
I didn’t even know if I have the energy to fill it all in again.
I have seen a couple people saying they haven’t received the forms lately.
recorded delivery next time I suppose.

MyAquaMaker · 09/12/2024 14:24

Sd 26th july- just called to be told my claim was allocated to a decision maker on 5th December but could take another few wks before i get the decision. So draining🙄

Absolutely the closer it gets the worse it is a feel just want it over now x

addies · 09/12/2024 14:33

I can't understand how some people get told it's with a decision maker and yet I've spoken to 3 different call handlers now and when asked specifically if it was with one yet, they all pleaded complete ignorance and said their system didn't enable them to see that, only whether a decision has been made or not!

danmanuk · 09/12/2024 14:48

acknowledged our claim 26/7 and got a text today 9/12 confirming he qualifies, we did have a diagnosis confirming adhd from a consultant, good luck everyone

Daisiesunderblueskies · 09/12/2024 15:20

SD 26/7 new claim. Seeing lots of awards for the same date so really hoping to hear this week

Edited

They must’ve had a huge amount for July in which case they should’ve got more staff in like they said last month they were going to do. January 28th is the latest we will hear by, seems ages away still

Heard back after fighting for a year for backpay from tax credits, they are not giving in. So I lost 3k because I migrated over to UC but didn’t know I had to inform Tax Credits aswell about DLA even though my case was closed. Sharing because I want people in the same position as me, who has been awarded but during your wait migrated over to UC to make sure you tell both so it doesn’t happen to others.

On the upside, I’ve had my first letter for UC back pay and our next appointment with CAMHS. Dyslexia screening appointment for my youngest, who I’ve just received renewal for. Single parent, 3 daughters 14,12 and 10. 14 and 10 are autistic and ADHD. It’s never ending, all this happened in one day 😂 I’ve got to laugh or I’ll cry…

good luck to everyone still waiting ❤️

Any MRs been awarded recently? It’s like they are gathering dust and they pick up the odd one when they feel it. x

Still waiting - 02/07 SD

YourAquaPoster · 09/12/2024 16:06

Sd 25/7 NC told this morning its in the Queue and to wait until the 12th. Last week was told it should be looked at that week.. noticed a few people around same date as me have had a decision. Did everyone receive a text? Thanks

Thank you for the update and sorry you didn’t recieve your backpay entitlement through tax credit, might be something you can pursue legally (if you can find the energy) as lots of families are migrating over to UC may notice this in coming months. I wish you all the best in the future and once again congratulations and for always showing up for your kiddies. Xx
