DLA waiting times continue from thread 55

Eeekkk. Seeing all these posts about more info being requested from schools. I'm going to call dla later to ask if they've done this for my lil one

Might phone on Wednesday niw too bloody stressed out with it all to be honest with you

Hey I was wondering if anyone could help,

I did a new claim back in may and was declined, I have just summited an MR, does this mean I have to wait another 20+ weeks to hear again?

Also I requested the letter of reasons to why I had a the decline, is it normal for the decision maker to refer to my child as ‘him’ half way through and then ‘her’ the other half way through?

Unfortunately I think the wait for MR is actually slightly longer, up to 25 weeks.

Keep us updated though, it’s not far from mine so you should hear a couple weeks before me then I’ll know it’s not long. Hopefully the last half waiting goes quick but I can’t see it 😂

Have just seen a post of FB where 26/7 new claim has just been awarded!

Just called and apparently mine has been sent over to a dm, don’t know whether I’m been fobbed off or not but we shall see. S/d 1/7

Anyone able to get through? My call keeps being ended after being on hold for a few seconds, I got my daughters pastoral support to fill in the someone who knows your child section but I want to no if they've written to the school as it's popping up in here alot

I just got off the phone awarded Mrc and Lrm! Can’t believe it. It was decided on the 21st the day I called to check so must of been decided later afternoon. I didn’t receive a text either so don’t lose hope that it means decline if you didn’t! @PollyH3 wishing you all the luck in the world! Don’t lose hope x

I got cut off 3 times before I got through the first time, now called back as she couldn’t put me through. I’ve never felt so sick in my life!

Awarded MRC, no mobility, very happy to have been awarded, but feel he should be entitled to more so on to MR we go 😭

No, because I didn't have anything new, he's year 10 and I didn't see the point in digging out his plans from year 7. He's under the senco team at school so they are aware but the school are so useless. I put they could contact them but also that I myself was having trouble getting any form of contact out of them.
My daughters claim her teacher filled out the part of someone who knows the child and they didn't contact her school.
