Hi

Been hanging around scan date 18th June woke to a lump sum in bank this morning so looks like he's been accepted 19 week wait new claim.
I had £2607.75 so I think I've work out that it's high rate care low rate mobility?

This has been a long wait for us got the form in April and have an amazing family support worker at the school who was the one who said to claim ( he also filled the form in with me and sent all the evidence we had on him) I always felt I wasn't caring for my son as i just get on with life ( I now clearly see I actually am caring for him I'm the one who has to make sure he's safe, make sure he doesn't run off, constantly struggling to get him to wash brush teeth use the toilet and he sleep walks a lot which he has managed to get downstairs so I dont sleep well as worry for his safety)hes 10 suspected autistic, school says he shows PDA traits. He doesn't hardly attend school he really struggles and shuts down often with lots of upset meltdowns, he's so behind his peers working at year 2 level even though he's in his last year of school. All of his life I was told hes fine it's normal it's a stage etc then this amazing family support officer started at the school and he believed me he saw first hand what my son was like in the home as well as at school and was the one to encourage me to get him on the list for a autism diagnosis so thankful he's with me every step of the way. My fight is still on for a ehcp plan, fight for him to get this diagnosis and the fight to seek a specialist secondary school that can deal with my son's complex needs.
Next step sorting universal credit as heard can get another element on that which is another one to get my head round as new to that benefit to

All the best to you all that you get what our children need

how long did you have to wait for tribunal date? Please keep us updated. Hopefully all goes well with your outcome x

My forms originally went in in July 23. But I came home 4 weeks ago saying we had our tribunal via videolink for today.
It went great thank you! HRC and LRM. This was from a no award. They said as soon as she has her official diagnosis to contact dwp and she will probably be able to get HRM.

Called up today at 4.30. First time I've spoken to anyone, altho not for the want of trying!! Finally managed to change my number, really nice lady but was told the same as the others. Nothing doing on it, I should hear by 19th November at 20 weeks. SD 2/7 x

Miguelo · 30/10/2024 17:37

They really ought to amend the letter they send out acknowledging your claim and stating 15 weeks!

Just done some digging online and this is the refusal text. So if yours says qualifies then I would say your child's definitely been awarded. Congratulations 🎉

What was your scan date please

Sunligh98 · 30/10/2024 21:10

Hi just had my child’s COC awarded from middle to high care, does anyone know if i do an MR for mobility side they will consider any new evidence I send in over the next few months when they are re-looking at it, or is it just they review the evidence that was originally sent? I just ask as I have heard with tribunal they don’t consider new evidence and my child’s official ASD diagnosis should be through in next few weeks, think this would help for SMI criteria. Or would I need to wait for the diagnosis and then do a COC again? Thanks

Caious · 31/10/2024 01:05

anyone same as me x

This doesn't mean a refusal. I've seen people receive this and be awarded. Although obviously if anyone receives this it could be either, with the other text at least you know it's an award.

PollyH3 · 31/10/2024 08:40

SD 8/7. My daughter was awarded at 16 weeks back at the beginning of July, so going through the wait again is horrible (I couldn't face doing both their forms at the same time). From what I've seen on Facebook people seem to be getting awarded between 18 and 20 weeks with some random dates thrown in. I was constantly phoning for updates with my daughter 🙈 but am trying to wait more patiently this time around.
