does anyone know if you still get DLA payments as normal while awaiting a MR. I received my back pay and then my letter to say what rate however would like to go for a mandatory reconsideration. Thank you

I am waiting MR and still get my regular payments of DLA. It shouldn’t affect it.

Has anyone from 04/06 had a decision yet?
I've seen quite a few dates after this with decisions being made, but none from the first week in June. Has the DM with first week of June applications gone on holiday? It would be just my luck 🤣

03/06 and I'm guessing he or she has gone on holiday too haha. Although every month I've been on here there's always been a few people left behind whilst people later in the month are getting approved.

Anyone still waiting on May?

My SD was 28/05 - called today to be told that there’s still no decision. Starting to feel disheartened now

That's crazy considering some in the second week in June have already been done!

Clf2024 · 10/10/2024 13:04

I’m 07/06 and rang up yesterday still no update on the system but seen people be awarded with scan date 10th and 16th of June 🙃

Michmumofboys · 10/10/2024 13:11

Has anyone ever been awarded without a phonecall from the DM?

Kelsta1979 · 10/10/2024 13:52

Scan date 6/6.. Just called to asked if extra evidence (sent 3/10) has been added on. Got really nice lady tell me nothing is showing but she'll put a note on account to say its been sent. She apologised for it taking so long an claims are taking till at least 20 weeks..

Mummy335 · 10/10/2024 14:21

Do you have to say in the form that you think they qualify for hrm? Or is it just filling in the form and they make thr decision? I'm asking as I see another thread someone said they applied for hrm I didn't think we had to apply for it. But I did do a MR last year and the decision make said they couldn't change the mobility as I didn't apply I thought it might be because in the mr I didn't state that I didn't agree with lrm?

I don't believe you apply for it, but there is a section you can tick which says that should your child be eligible for HRM would you be interested in the Motability scheme. So maybe she was thinking of that?

Hi. My scan date is 23.08, so quite close ☺️. I did send a sleep diary of a week. I thought it will help to explain his care needs in the night.

4 weeks today since scan date. Getting there, only at least another 16 to go 🙄 if I don’t laugh, I’ll cry 😂

MrsW12 · 11/10/2024 09:19

SD 21/06. Just called to ask if it’s worth sending in a SENCO report as they won’t receive it until about week 18. Spoke to a really lovely lady who said it’s never too late to send anything in. She said even if it’s sent after a decision has been made, it’s helpful to have. If declined, the DM could look at it after and it might change the outcome. Or if awarded, it could stay on the system for the renewal. I hope this helps. Week 16 and not with a DM x

CrazyKirsty · 11/10/2024 10:10

SD 2/7 New claim.
First time posting but the wait is just too much now. Thanks to everyone, it's so helpful to know that others are going through the same. My daughter is 7, almost 8 diagnosed GDD, on pathway for ASD & ADHD and just awaiting diagnosis for Dyspraxia. I wasn't going to post til I got a decision but I feel others in July now will be hanging on to all you Junies threads like me 😊 Good luck to us all.

blahblahblahhhhh · 11/10/2024 11:19

SD 24/07

looks like I’m in for a long wait still going by this thread.

Have those who applied may/June started to receive decisions/payments yet?

Charliesmama09 · 11/10/2024 11:46

Mines 06/07 still no decision yet but seen a few later Junes be awarded but then there’s still people with may dates waiting, was told I’d hear back by the 25th so hopefully not long now

Mommy2boys30 · 11/10/2024 12:28

Still waiting COC 7/06 will call again next week to hopefully get some answers

ASDmummaof2 · 11/10/2024 12:35

Summermightbegreat · 11/10/2024 13:01

Scan date 03/06, called a few days ago to see where it was and told still in the queue.

Just seen a post on FB with someone offering help for people moving home, checked my bank to see how much money I had to get me through until pay day, as I'm moving tomorrow and been exhausted and need help for the last few bits, so wondered if I could afford to get a couple of hours helo. Also kept DD off school today as I was manhandled by SLT yesterday when trying to help DD through the classroom door.

Checked my bank and there was over 2k in there. I couldn't believe it could be DLA, I just thought, maybe my UC rent or something had had an extra payment by mistake due to the move.

Once I saw DWP DLA I just burst into tears and I still can't stop crying. I might be able to homeschool DD now or put her into a part time homeschool group.

I don't understand as literally a few days ago it was in a queue but maybe they got it wrong or the system hadn't updated with the info.

I honestly wish you all the same relief.

Thanks, I really needed it as well as moving for location and could only find a three bed so I'll be able to ask for support with the bedroom tax as well, now that it's approved.

Just called and was told the award was made on 08/10, which is the same day I called (during mod afternoon) and was told it was in a queue!!

Higher rate care, lower rate mobility for two years.
I was hoping for middle rate care, lower rate mobility, so I'm overjoyed. I couldn't even get an autism diagnosis for DD earlier in the spring, after a couple of years of referrals and nearly had a mental breakdown when I got the refusal letter, so to be finally heard is overwhelming.
